Maxx Crosby?
Total stud and 27 years old. He could be a cornerstone of this defense for years to come.
But at what cost?
I’ll wait to post my opinion after seeing a few of yours.

If we needed just one player, he would be great. But in reality, we need several players. Get an edge or two and a top-level CB if possible. Ojulari's brother Azeez is mentioned in talks a lot. Maybe Za'Darius Smith? Maybe CB Greg Newsome II from the Browns.

My counter is… Is he helping the raiders win? :)

I’d love Maxx. But I’m not going to be picky just go get us a couple guys that can help pass rush.
I get it. But this guy has 6.5 sacks this year, and 26 the two previous seasons. How much attention would he draw from others on the d-line?
The question was what would you give up?

Probably a 2nd round pick. He's not cheap. He has two years left on his deal so you probably need to extend him. That's what keeps him from being a 1st rounder IMO. (also this draft looks great for defensive front players so I am not excited about trading top 100 picks.

I'm right there with you on. not giving up top 100 picks. Yes Crosby is very productive but it would take a high draft pick given up to get him. Why not give up a 5th for Ojulari to the Giants & use our 1st round pick in 2025 on someone even younger than the age of 27? After all, Darius Robinson should be available soon, he could help anchor the middle & use Ojulari on the edge.

We have a couple of d-line draft picks that haven't been in the mix. Darius Robinson and BJ Ojulari are top of this list. They have both shown high promise. I find it hard to break the bank on another player. I am definitely for improving the team too.

My exact thought was a 2nd round pick. It's looking to be a mid 2nd anyway.

I'd give a conditional 1st round pick for sure. Or a 2nd and a 4th.

I have not seen them show anything yet. They are only potential at this point.

Uh, DR hasn't played a snap and Beej is raw and unproven. If we're going to sign any Big Johns in the offseason (which is questionable, though we desperately need to), it has to be along the defensive front.

I agree Chopper. I'd be fine with a 2nd for him to retire a Cardinal.

I have no problem sending drafts picks for proven talent. If we could get Maxx for a 2nd id do it. But I would still add one of the other guys also.
Yup... if we managed to get him for a 2nd, turn right around and get another in the first round...DT or OLB
