we need to get a pass rush and we need to release prater if it's anyway beneficial to our cause - can we trade prater - probably not?

No need to release Prater, yet. Keep him stashed in IR, just in case something happens to Ryland. If/when you feel secure with Ryland as long-term answer, you can do an injury settlement with Prater, so he can go to a new team.

I wouldnt expect our current group to repeat this performance. The Bears were on their 3rd string RT today, and the rest of their line isn't usually good either. Its a similar situation to what we did to the Rams week 2. Our guys aren't good enough to beat legitimate NFL starters, but they destroy practice squad guys.
