It's a fine line before you start getting those labels placed on you.
It's not like Garrett Williams didn't miss more than half the season last year and many are now calling him our best corner. Robinson's mother died during his window, pausing his rehab. Let's cut him a little slack.

Robinson only missed 3 total games is last 3 years. He missed a few in 2020 from COVID.

Only stating facts. Words like soft and injury prone will start getting whispered soon enough. It’s a grim business.

If Robinson is a ways off I sure hope we do more before the deadline. We need him in there and he will take time to acclimate.

Here's a fact...the people who could potentially call him soft and injury prone would mostly be keyboard warriors, who have never played a down of football in their lives.

I think we are all ready to see Robinson on the field. We need a lot of help on the D-line now. I just hope that he was worth a first round pick.

I hope you’re right, but I don’t think we’ll see him until after the bye.

At this point, that’s the smart play. Why bring him back for one game before bye. Might as well give him the extra two weeks to get right.
I dunno... bring him back, let him play,...then he has two weeks to shake off any aches and pains that showed up.
if he is ready he needs to be on the field.
If he aint,...then he needs to sit.
when the bye is or isnt should have nothing to do with the decision

Disagree. It's the choice between putting him in with question marks or making sure he is 100%. The bye buys one extra week of rehab

my entire point was...if he is 100 percent he should play regardless of when the bye is. I never even suggested playing him if he isnt ready.
but if he is ready, put him in because he needs experience more than rest.

I wonder just how effective he will even be if they " rushed him back"

Were unfortunately screwed here. Hopefully he can be a difference make for the last 4 weeks, even the last 2 weeks

I wonder if two weeks is a realistic time frame for his return? Jonah Williams has actually been practicing yet they continue to hold him out. Feels like D Rob is behind Jonah in his recovery just based on how much both have practiced. Today I think it’s 50/50 that D Rob plays against Seattle. I think we’ll know a lot come next Monday. If he doesn’t practice that day that may be a telltale sign.

If neither are playing even after the bye, the decision to not just IR them for the season will have been ludicrous. Shorhanding the roster for no reason would be wasteful. They either need to play or need to go to IR..
