No way! We'll eventually dominate the SEC just like we've dominated every other football conference we've ever been a part of! :)

Big 6? OU was the king - championships and 47 game winning streak

Big 8? OU was the king - Barry Switzer, championships, the option, and hang half a hundred on them by halftime.

Big 12? OU was the king - More big 12 championships than home losses during OU's big 12 tenure.

SEC? OU will soon be the king! - Venerables building a murderous defense that will dominate!
Nebraska used to brag like that.....

Jaxson Dart looks good vs Georgia. Decisive and accurate. I haven't watched much SEC so I don't know if he is a legitimate NFL prospect but he looks good in this game.

we'd have to trade waaaaaaaaay up

it also explains why monti wouldn't part with any picks before the trade deadline - he likes to draft

22. Arizona Cardinals (6–4)

Biggest needs: Edge, DL, CB

The pick: Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia

After a slow start, Arizona’s pass rush has 13 sacks over its past four games, though general manager Monti Ossenfort still felt the need to acquire help at the deadline, trading with the Broncos for Baron Browning. Arizona has drafted well and compiled an encouraging nucleus of talent. Williams, who’s explosive, athletic and powerful, has plenty of upside in his 6'5", 265-pound frame to become a central piece to the Cardinals’ pass rush moving forward.

I would be absolutely stoked with this pick. I really hope this edge rusher draft is as deep as people say it is

#1 need is a pass rusher.
#2 DT

Other than above, what would you say is our most pressing need?

#1A pass rushing DT
The Cardinals need a 60% snap + DT. Pass rush is a little subjective because they aren't/shouldn't take a pure NT in round 1. The debate between EDGE and DT will be interesting. I think the DTs in round 1 might be better but the depth at DT in rounds 2 and 3 should be very nice.

The Cardinals need to continue to add High Character, High Motor, High Football Intelligence players who don't go out and get High every night with their High School buddies.

agree. I have been working under the assumption we go OLB round 1 and follow with DT in round 2 simply because that looks like where the value will be in the draft. especially with us drafting in the back half of the rounds.. in this draft I would consider trading later picks to move up and only come out of the draft with 3 guys

You need to get off your High horse about that Big John guy.
Ha, fair, although the phrase will never die :D

Say then, rather, that we need players with the traits you listed that are also highly talented impact players. A team can't cruise without those on both sides of the ball and truly compete.
