If you can get a good deal for Thomas I would do it. You have a light hitting stud defensive CF that’s maybe a year away in Jones. They also have a handful of guys that may not be far off.

I wish guys like Thomas and even Corbin to some extent would use the bunt more often. Just enough to open some holes . If Thomas can stay healthy and get his OBP up to around league average I think he’s a keeper and would fetch a much bigger return when and if Jones is ready.

Well like the article says with Thomas the key is adding to his launch angle. He can get to 20 HRs a year if he gets the ball up a little more.

I hadn't seen that, but I certainly admire his defense. That is immeasurable, sometimes.

56% GB Rate but + barrel and exit velocity.

He actually should easily add a full .100 to his OPS with any reasonable coaching.

Think McCarthy two years ago. It's why that 2 year difference is huge.

Thomas. Easy
Agreed. I'm keeping Jake, for the really simple fact he's a lefty who can actually hit lefties. He doesn't need to be pinch hit out of the lineup. I don't care if his defense is 80-85% of Thomas. This team lost a lot of last year's offense and they can't afford to lose more. Also, if Jones get his act together, you can probably slide Jake to LF and start transitioning Guriel to DH and 4th OF.

I think Druw has a long ways to go, sadly.
