Since the contract issues make the problem of the team's poor construction unsolvable at this time, the team's problems must be solved internally--by the players simply finding within themselves a way to play better. I wonder if they have it in them. I see no evidence, but...if I recall, the 2009-10 team (my arguably favorite Suns team ever) was dead in the water at midseason with a .500 record. They somehow turned into a group of hard-playing professionals by the beginning of the playoffs. Would probably have taken the Lakers to game 7 in the WCF *but for one mistake. The point is that I had no idea that team would do anything impressive; so...I suppose this one could do something similarly unexpected. Because I sure don't expect it to win anything in the playoffs or even necessarily get there.

You can hardly wonder why I daydream about other Suns teams. This one is unimpressive and boring.

The 2009-10 Suns team had a good roster and players that didn't have any quit in them. It was simply a matter of them putting it together.

This team has left me shaking my head. I think it's a player personnel issue which is much more difficult to solve. I heard Bud has already had a meeting with them.

It’s not over tell the fat lady sings. Is there any way the Suns can unload Booker?

This would be coming full circle, but Devin Booker has trade value.

IMO, he would have to ask to be traded for it to happen. However, I wouldn't be shocked if he did so the way the Suns are playing.

It's kind of sad this would happen, all because of an impulsive trade made when new ownership came on board. I do think James Jones had been pursuing such a trade the entire 2022-23 season.

I miss that team. Sweeping the Spurs was probably my happiest moment as a valley sports fan.

I don't care that it didn't end well. I'd rank the 2021 Finals run at the top. Sweeping the Spurs was closure to the Nash era, IMO. It was necessary to move on.

The 2021 Finals run was magical. No one expected the Suns to be that good going into the season although Monty realized it before the trade deadline. That team had a special chemistry. One tweak at the 4/5 and the Suns may have become NBA champions.

I think where I was mentally and physically before the CP3 trade helped that team sort of capture my imagination. I remember predicting a special run but I thought it'd end at the WCF at the most. Seeing them overcome made it feel like it was always possible all the way until game 6's final buzzer sounded. It helped cushion the blow that the Suns lost a likeable team and star in the Bucks and Giannis. Saric going down was the difference on the floor. Karma started working against the Suns when that asshat was shown counting dollar bills while Giannis shot free throws. That guy turned almost the entire country against us and killed all the goodwill "Suns in 4" guy earned earlier that run. Such a weird moment in time. I still enjoyed it and couldn't wait to see them run it back. I wish I knew what happened late that next season because something most definitely went down amongst the team personnel (players and coaches) that cost us greatly.

That 2021 Finals game 2, all of us fans exited the stadium chanting, "Suns in 4! Suns in 4!" I didn't know it meant "Suns in 4 - ever!"

The weird thing is even when we're losing I have withdrawals. Here's to hoping we start seeing a healthy Durant and more wins and team improvement.

I want something more long-lasting than the return of Durant. Injuries are an ongoing thing.

I'd like to see the Suns find a fix for whatever that ails them. They need some toughness, particularly upfront.

Heck, I would settle for them figuring out how to unleash their offense fully and without 20 turn overs a night.

Isn't this the truth.

Perhaps if the Suns had a low post presence, opponents would quit extending their defense to create turnovers.
