It's getting lots of attention in the Bay area apparently at least according to my emails since I'm not there right now. Baldy said he thinks the 49ers need to change their Wide 9 technique on defense he thinks it's a big reason why their defense isn't as good. Basically when they got Bosa, they had him and Dee Ford and wanted to maximize their ability to terrorize QB's so they let them line up in a 9 technique very wide, outside the TE, so they get a running start to the QB. It worked, they wreaked havoc. But the problem is it only worked because their interior DL and inside LB's were so good, that they could handle the interior run game.

Since then they lost one then the other DT, LB's have been beat up and suddenly teams can run on them inside. We were one of the teams he cited, we ran for 170 against them and even the big Kyler 50 yard TD run started out inside he just hit the gap inside of Bosa and housed it. Baldy thinks because they're no longer stacked inside, they need to change it but apparently BOsa doesn't want to because he likes lining up wide. Apparently some of teh bay area media are confirming yes it's been discussed and yes Bosa is VERY resistant to the change.

I’ve read a few posts from 49 fans, wondering what they could get for bozo in a trade

They’re all pretty adamant that they should be able to get at least two first round picks

I don't think they are looking to trade him but who knows but I found it fascinating. I wanted Bosa the year we took Kyler. I get why we did it and we were clearly right in deciding Rosen wasn't the guy, but it is interesting 6 years later. We're in the should we get rid of Kyler part. and they're apparently in the should we change the defense that features Bosa or should we trade him and use the picks to rebuild the OL and interior DL.

I wouldn't want Bosa right now. Not because of the red hat or other stuff just because he's had a bunch of serious injuries and the muscle tear things just scream PED's to me and I'm always hesitant to rely on a guy who does that because of injuries and suspensions. I know it's league wide but there's guys that use stuff and there's guys who are built on PED's and he strikes me as the latter

He’s definitely a roid-boy and an injury risk
So were JJ and Donald. Thats how the difference makers do it.

The biggest red flag for Bosa is if he won't change where he lines up then he is a liability to a defense that isn't perfectly set up for him. He's letting the niners defense get killed in the run game because he wants to get his sack numbers up? That's not a team player.
