The on brand comment was just a statement regarding your consistent focus on overpaying. Not a dig.

He had 892 receiving yards, 225 rushing yards and 12 TDs in 2023
The TDs are nice but that’s mostly situational/rushing.

The guy is a WR and that’s his primary role. In his 6 year career he’s averaged 792 yards receiving and 3.5 TDs a season receiving. Kinda garbagy to be honest. He had one monster year and is pretty much guaranteed to miss time each and every year. While he’s a “good” player and fits well in Washington as @chopper said. I just don’t find this to be some HUGE acquisition and would have been totally cool with him staying with our division foe.

Kliff has his new Rondale!

I actually think Deebo will do well in Washington. Dude was obviously checked out in SF, and the offense is made for him.

I mean, tbh, the offense in SF was made for him as well.

Was Deebo overpaid for his production? Yes

Is he cooked? No way - when healthy he can still be a threat.

Niners finally are being dismantled after so much time in the sun from bloated contracts and finally have to pay up a legit qb contract.

They have $31 million in cap space AFTER taking on $31.2 million in dead money on the trade.

If Prudy gets his extension and the $70 million signing bonus some are speculating, about $15 million will eat into that remaining $31 million too. I read that Aiyuk is on the block too, but with $40 million in dead money. No way they extend Prudy if that happens. Extending Kittles could help. Either way, the 49ers will be fun to watch this off season.

Multiverse thinking. The 49ers did not make this trade because they’re in cap trouble.

Very on brand for you. Here is where I disagree. Poor WR FA and draft class. Money to burn in Wash. nice job finding a way to improve the roster.

Yes, it is on brand for me to point out that sending a 5th for a guy that's often injured and has averaged 730 yards per season the last 3 years is an overpay when he's getting paid $17.5m.

He had 44 yards per game last year. Same as Allen Lazard and less than Quentin Johnson. Deebo was 100% getting cut as he had a $5m option bonus due.

It's a poor trade, but also I don't really care.

Yeah, going from one of the best offensive minds in football and a scheme he's lived in his whole career to Kliff's "Run a 10 yard curl in isolation" is going to fix him.
.
If he’s fine being a gadget player he’ll be perfect for Kliff. He battled pneumonia last year but had some big games. I expect one more productive season.

Why because they got rid of a guy that isn’t really all that productive, is often injured, costs a lot of $ ? Seems smart to me.
im saying their window isn't closed - until those two are gone the whiners aren't done - im saying their combined brains both secure and utilize optimal talent - something we don't do
