Yet that rebound, taken away Plumlee, was likely the difference maker. He seemed to have the ball under his control.
Sure… and if Denver hadn’t shot 53% from three and 59% overall, that turnover likely never happens…

Suns allow a laughable 117 points per game. It’s pointless to expect anything more from this team when they allow that many points and are that inept on defense…

whatever we had at the end of the 4th quarter it was gone by the time overtime started - where as denver locked dafuq in and took it to us for the win

we have no business in the play-in

I know Bud has gotten a lot of the heat this year, but honestly, what can he do with this group of absolute hacks with zero motivation and effort on the defensive end?? That’s what makes the Clippers comeback even more frustrating, they showed it, they made a historic comeback based of effort and intensity. Just absolute freaking bums. I can’t wait for this season to be over and this team to be completely blown up.
What he can do is play the players that give a crap like Dunn and Gillespie.

All our turn overs were bad .hzt just happened to be a late one. The team knows they give up too many turn overs, yet they continue to not treat the ball as it is precious when in our possession. This has been the biggest fail for Coach Bud. There are literally dozens of drills and practices to emphasize not turning the ball over. They seemingly don't practice any of them.

that what sucks about the turnovers - they're killers - game wouldn't have even gone to overtime
Our broadcasters, rightly kept pointing out had we had half the turn overs, and shot our free throws like normal, we would have been double digits in the lead. Even with them shooting 54% from three.

Plumlee held the ball above his head instead of bringing it down and throwing bows. Protecting the ball is fundamentals.

This isn't unique to Bud. We saw the same thing last year. It's not a lack of PG either, as we theorized last season. This roster is just fundamentally flawed and lazy.

When a PG is out there, Tyus, Monte, or Collin, it improves some but those 3 guys aren't good defenders and each has their own warts. We need to reconstruct the roster.

Looked like Beal was working pretty hard on defense this game, and Allen also had a spark, so good for them that they stepped up (in the fourth quarter). So yeah, another loss. No sight of Dunn or Oso but who's looking into the future, it is here and now that counts? I guess for Bud and JJ it is, and that doofus owner I guess also, missing playoffs would be embarrassing. We can just get new random guys in next year. As we've seen, revolving door Suns is not about building one block at a time, or getting the pieces together over time.

On my play and keep list is Dunn, Gillespie, Oso and Bol. Maybe not starting material, but let us try to have some kind of consistency and these guys can get better. As mentioned before, I am all for trading everyone of our big three along with Tuys, Allen and Royce O'Neale, but only if the return is good. Do not resign Damion Lee. Get Frank the Tank instead.

It didn't look like Plumlee mishandled the ball. It was somehow taken away from him after he rebounded the ball.

I wish there was a replay of it to see what happened. I'm sure there is game video on YouTube but at this point, I don't want to relive the experience.

I didn't see it clearly, but I thought they hacked him.

Not specifically to this play, but in general, it seems the NBA is letting defenders hack, smash into, and grab guys to separate them from the ball to create "turn overs." I can't believe the number of plays where a defender just runs into one of our guys, knocking him away from the ball by using the defender's body, and it's a "turn over." It seems like every year they allow something different.

This is why I wanted to see the replay immediately thereafter. I thought Plumlee was hacked as well. I can't remember a game that was more poorly officiated.

I'm for keeping who you are but I'd add Royce and Richards to that. Richards is cheap and a solid backup. Royce is the sort of two-way pro who can fill in on occasion. I might keep Monte Morris also. I think we need 3 C's and 3 PG's all season next year. A 4th on an actual Two-Way would be nice also. I'd look for athletes on those deals more though.

So our bench would consist of Richards, Oso, Dunn, Royce, and Gillespie. Plus Bol and Monte depending on the price of retaining them.

I thought so too. Any other time and any other player that would be a foul. Instead two guys raped him.

Agree about Richards and Monte, Hoop Head. Not sure about Royce though. Glad I am not responsible to get them out of this mess.
