For me, historic classes are generally determined after the fact. You have to see what the players become as pros to make that determination IMO. I tend to look at the volume of prospects when coming up with a value for a draft class. I like top 10, top 32 and then top 100. Mix it all together and compare to other classes. This draft class is good because of it's top 100 volume as well as it's potential for top 32. Top 10 is lower, but I feel that is because of the ? of some of the players who would potentially be in that group.
I’d agree with all of this.

I think this is accurate. What makes this draft special is the number of potential starters and rotation quality DLs & Edges.
If Green didn't have his allegations, Mykel Williams didn't have his injury history, and Stewart's production wasn't very low, could be the best EDGE class in 15 years. That said, if's aren't worth much.

I am going to be Tristan Wirfs level triggered if Mike Green is available at 16 and the Cardinals don't select him. (I am expecting to be triggered)
my enthusiasm for him has tempered a bit -- 6% pass rush win rate vs Ohio State.

maybe unfair to judge a prospect based on his worst game, but that was the one game vs NFL level talent

And he wasn't against Josh Simmons very often. He was going against Josh Fryar the RT that wasn't even invited to the combine but a decent player.

You’re right about concerns but most see several of the as developable situational players.

I’m hoping you will be. He certainly has plenty of potential, but to me there are surer things.

ESPN's Mike Tannenbaum has the Arizona Cardinals drafting WR Matthew Golden at #16 overall in his "draft like a GM" mock draft. It's not Tannenbaum's fault. The Arizona Cardinals are an afterthought to national media still. That's got to be earned.

Assuming the Cards stay at 16, I'm down to 3 targets. Membou will likely be gone, so, for me, it's down to Will Johnson, Matthew Golden, and Kenneth Grant.

Should we go:
1. BPA , not counting QB or TE.
or
2. BPA at a position of need.
for me, 1 and 2 are pretty much the same if you throw in S and RB

the Cards would use a really good player at nearly every other position
