Arizona State set to enter NIL collective

Watching the Olympics and seeing the swimmers that has a connection to ASU through Bowman and how the legacy and money tied to the Texas job was something that ASU couldn't match just drives it home - even on secondary or "Olympic" sports, ASU just didn't have the horses to keep and retain top...

    MCU: Deadpool & Wolverine

I think this thing could post a good week. We ended up at AMC and the theater was pretty full. They had a fair number of showing at our local. Local Harkins has show times every 50-60 minutes. Started from 6ish to late and not a theater had 4 seats together that wasn't in the bottom rows

    MCU: Deadpool & Wolverine

Saw it with the family. Was fun overall. Has a couple of drag moments and a couple of those "ohh! Snap" type laughs with some of the things they dropped in there One scene we definitely laughed at louder than those and us was the "read the room" line. We've been on our son to do the same for...

My understanding is that there are 2 items He needs to be approved by the board to with US Soccer - they meet towards the end of the month, but could call a meeting specific to this whenever He still has wages and contact terms with Chelsea that need to be wrapped up before he can take another...

Guardian reporting it's close with Poch. I wouldn't be mad at it. He's had positive experience with piecing in younger players, understands the structure of development and is a quality manager - not sure he has the strongest of hands, which I think the US could benefit from though

    Durant to Suns

Here's his company that is aligned with this deal. Looks like they have some good standing and I would guess this is a strategic partnership type thing for both his company & PSG. https://boardroom.tv/about/ Definitely not nearly enough information to pass judgement on

Suns players and Team USA Basketball in the Olympics

I'm just glad that France wasn't as persistent working out of the high post as Serbia - was shocking how absolutely awful the US was guarding it - pretty much switching to terrible matchups without any resistance Was fun watching the team overall though. Curry is great when he gets going...

Yeah, that's the way it goes though - will go be functional somewhere else..... It sucks

    Twisters (aka Twister 2)

Saw this today with some family and friends. We all really enjoyed it. I never watched the original and was glad that this wasn't crazy cheesy. There was plenty of formula and stuff that took you to the brink of suspending disbelief, but didn't cross over IMO Was the movie the kids really...

The men's journey ended. Not surprised at the outcome, but thought it would be a little more competitive. First penality was a bit soft, bit when you spend that much time scrambling and defending in your zone that kind of thing happens I'm not at all mad at the effort or approach. Morocco...

Yeah. They got a little fortunate at times on defense and have looked a little exposed with pace down the sides, but the overall structure and how they are building the team looks nice Players are moving well and creating stress - just need to keep that organization in the back while pushing...

I think I can agree on all that. I like Dempsey and he comes off well to me .... He's often a bit aloof though - it's like it's just something he does and will maybe have a good thought and jump in it maybe not .... Not polished, but maybe why I find him credible

I could probably get ok with Cherundolo, but would like someone more proven in the intentional game As far as pundits, while I line that people like Lalas & Lloyd will give opinions outside the company line - at times it seems really forced and "hot take" driven, which doesn't always seem...

Yeah, Klopp was always pipe dream stuff - he'd need to have a desire to build a profile in the US and to be here ...... If he did, then you throw a bucket of cash & control his way and let him do his thing If he doesn't and really just wants to reset, then the money and home WC in a massive...

Not disagreeing. Oddly, I think both of their strengths were away from the actual matches though I think Klinsmann did a solid job of challenging the US soccer system, looking at youth development and really pushing to get players more international experience. From player accounts, a lot...

The women's team seems to have waken up that the world is using things more seriously now, but they are still a big dog and should act like it and hired a proper manager The men's team talks about building, sleeping giant, youth movement..... Whatever They don't act, carry themselves or play...

    Ted Lasso

Well late to the party on this one, but my wife and I just binged the series. I was a little reluctant because it required another subscription, seemed a little but corny and I can't say that I've ever loved Jason Sudeikis ..... I've found some of the ensemble stuff he's done to be humorous...

It's something that probably shouldn't be a possibility, but if there is anyway you can make it happen you have to go all out I think he'd have a blast and be a complete media darling during a home WC cycle - I think he's resonate really well to Americans that are unfamiliar

It really is bizarre His first run was good enough to be a little disappointed and get him replaced. His second stint has a lower winning percentage and goal rate. I get it, players like his approach and insight He may be a good developmental coach and players feel he helps develop their...

    Trap (M. Night Shyamalan)

Agreed all around. I watch a fair amount of European matches, even some second division. While there is always some level of controversy, frustration or complaint because it isn't all that easy and fans get emotional....... It's absolutely jarring to see how awful the Western hemisphere...
