    It was revealed after the game that Adams had a back problem and this was the reason he didn't play. Gannon said his back locked up on him coming out of the tunnel, which was unfortunate because he had a really good week of practice. If his pass blocking improves, he could be a good one.

    I think Adams will start at either right or left guard next season. Evan Brown and Hernandez are both free agents, and I assume one or both will be signed to small dollar free agent contracts for next season.

    #8. I think they're giving Adams game experience because they view him as a starting guard either this year or next. Makes sense to me to give him small doses of game experience with minimal disruption to our offensive line. He's a beast in the run game.

    Also keep in mind that Prater's last 2 year deal average $3,750,000 per year, so signing Ryland will definitely be a cap savings for next year.

    Ryland is on the regular roster, not a practice squad call up. I believe that we will have to keep him on the roster or subject him to waivers to get him back to the practice squad.

    I don't blame Monte for injuries to players in their late twenties, who don't have a history of injury. Injuries to 3 starting offensive linemen and 3 starting defensive linemen is just buzzards luck. It can happen to any team and it's hard to account for. I do blame Monte for bringing in...

    Kudos to the Cards Fans at the Rams Game

    I'll never forget the 2008 season playoff game against Atlanta. It was the loudest that I've ever heard Arizona fans and the noise level never let up...from the start of the game until the finish. Just an incredible fan experience.

    How were the home field fans yesterday? As an out-of-town fan, I'm curious. Hopefully, the Red Sea will become a home field advantage again, instead of an opportunity for the opposing team's fans to take over our stadium.

    Defense better or Rams just beat up

    Good teams clobber weaker opponents. It doesn't matter if the opponent is weakened by injuries or poor roster construction. The Cardinals did what good teams do yesterday. Let's see if they can do this consistently.

    2024 Week 1 Snap Counts...and some thoughts

    I saw Xavier Thomas teamed with Denis Gardeck as the edge rusher on many of the passing downs. He got pressure on a couple of plays, but was neutralized and didn't get any pressure on most plays that I saw.

    So you're equating the evaluation of MOJG, both of whom have been operating for a year and a half, a full season of league play and two off-seasons, with the evaluation of rookies that have yet to play a game. Seems like a false equivalence to me.

    I'd say it's a little early to label this year's 3rd round of the draft a missed opportunity. It might be a whiff or it might be a gold mine. If I had to guess, I'd say we end up with at least one starter and possibly 2 from the 3rd round, as well as another rotational player.

    How can you say that they had TWO years to try to fix the defense when we haven't even played year two yet on the field?
