Suns sign center, Mason Plumlee to a one year deal

He was quite athletic when he first came into the league. Not sure where he is now.

Trying for a trade rather than just cut him, I guess.

There is a reason they signed Bol Bol quickly. His stats last year were quite remarkable. I don’t really get why Suns fans dismiss Bol. I think mismanagement of Bol is one of the reasons Vogel was fired. Bol is only 24 years old, and we are going to have some level of Bird rights with him...

Little and Roddy need to go in favor of a pf who can shoot. What we need is a pf who shoots 40% plus from 3, on a per 35 basis scores 17 points and gets 10 boards, and gets 2 blocks a game. Anyone know where we can find one of those?

Josh Okogie gets paid-re-signs with suns

Probably true. And if so, they had to structure the contract so it would work with for an intended trade target. James Jones scouts the league more than he does rookies. It would be interesting to see who he is thinking about.

This does not disappoint me. Roster Now PG--Beal, Morris, Gillespe SG--Booker, Allen, Okogie, DLee SF--Durant, Dunn, Bridges, Little PF--ONeale, Bol, C--Nurkic, Plumlee, Ighodaro Of course, Allen might play some SF and Durant some PF, and Bol playing some C. Some young players are going to be...

Suns draft Ryan Dunn at #28

I was looking at one scouting site from before the draft. They said what Haliburton is to distribution, and what Zion is to athleticism, Dunn is to defense. He is a generational defensive talent. BTW, defense translates best from college to pros, meaning he will likely be an excellent...

We need defense so badly. We will see. Okogie started for a while. I think Dunn will be better than Okogie almost immediately. But yes, Chap, you are right. He needs to earn it. I am hoping he will eventually.

Have any of you actually scouted Wiseman? I know big men often develop later. Just curious because I haven’t watched him much. He seemed to have some promise early on with the Warriors

Suns draft Ryan Dunn at #28

See the Bridges thread. I guess Ryan is opening eyes in a positive way about his shooting in practice. It is really intriguing to imagine what Dunn can be if he becomes even an average shooter.

Suns draft Oso Ighodaro at #40

This guy reminds me of Cam Johnson in that he is young, pretty decent physically, and extremely perceptive about basketball.

I hope they arent the starters. I am really hoping the starters will be Book, Beal, Durant, Dunn, and Nurk. I believe Dunn can play NBA starter defense. If he can cut and finish with consistency, that is the perfect combo.

Suns draft Ryan Dunn at #28

I think he is going to surprise us as a shooter. His mechanics are solid. His role was not to take those shots in college, so when he did it was because a play broke down. It’s the free throws that give me pause.

Signs sign Jalen Bridges, Baylor forward, 2-Way Contract

I totally agree. Bringing in tired old vets wanting to cash a paycheck will just get in the way and won’t likely help us compete. We always need to remember Trevor Ariza. Get these young guys going.

Anything less than contending is failure. If they are not going to contend they need to trade Book and Durant and start the rebuild now. However. I totally agree about Lowery. He is old with no upside and nothing to contribute. Our big three needs young hungry players with energy to push...

Suns sign guard Collin Gillespie to a two-way contract

Let’s guess. Maybe he already has plenty of time in on this level in g-league? I am not sure what the point of him playing in G-league would be.

I think having some young hungry rookies is exactly the boost of energy this team needs. I am really tired of trying to get mileage about of the Trevor Ariza’s of the world.

He doesn’t seem to be unathletic to me. He is not super athletic but he plays smart. He has Danny Ainge level confidence.
