They also built that lead in the 4th quarter and outscored the opponent in the 4th quarter. They only pissed the lead away when the comeback was essentially out of reach for the Bucks.

Bucks @ Suns Tuesday game thread 2-6-2024

They really won the game in the 4th quarter. Let it get a little closer then it should have been in the last couple minutes, but certainly much better than most of our recent 4th quarters.

Picks sure, but would they send one of their top young guys as well? I doubt that. Of course all of this means nothing unless he wants to go to the team that is willing to spend a lot.

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

There is a significant difference between missing games in the regular season and the playoffs. Guys will sit out for any little thing in the regular season and play through it in the games that matter. Kawhi missed 3 of 5 playoff games last year and missed 8 in the 20-21 season as well. PG...

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

To an extent, sure. However one of those guys misses significant time every single playoffs it seems. Our guys miss time in the regular season, but seem to be on the court when the playoffs come around.

Bucks @ Suns Tuesday game thread 2-6-2024

I just want a win. We need to at least finish in the top 6 to avoid the play in. We will have plenty of opportunities to face fully healthy competition as the season progresses.

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

This is very much assuming that PG and Kawhi can stay healthy through the playoffs, history suggests they will not..

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

We certainly wouldn't have been in finals without either one of them. Booker didn't carry the team to the finals, but he certainly was at least a co-leader of getting us there.

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

This is simply untrue. First of all he was dealing with an injury for most of the Lakers series and was often more of a liability than helpful in that series. He played very well in the Denver series, but we steamrolled them in 4 games. We also went up 2-0 on the Clippers with CP out due to...

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

"Greatest player EVER in Suns History" Is it just me or does that clearly suggest that it is about what they did WITH the Phoenix Suns?

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

Are you suggesting that everything KD did while he wasn't a Suns' player should be a factor into how great of a Suns' player he is? This isn't greatest player to every play for the Suns, but greatest player on the Suns. If we are counting KD than we have to count Shaq as well.

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

I would imagine if the Suns traded for him than he likely isn't seeing much of a suspension this year. Maybe the belief is that he will likely avoid any suspensions until next season.

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

He has more achievements on the Suns than Barkley and KD, but not Nash. That is why I have said Nash has a very strong case at the moment and I will not fight people that have Nash ahead of Booker.

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

He is greater as a Phoenix Sun than Barkley or KD IMO. They may have been better players, but the amount of time spent on the team means something in this discussion. Especially when we are talking about a team that hasn't won a title with any of them. In the GOAT debate for instance, LeBron's...

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

From a pure basketball standpoint it is a complete no brainer, especially if he isn't likely to miss a huge amount of time to suspension.

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

Is this true? I believe they lost his bird rights the moment he signed the QO? Edit: Just looked it up and Charlotte does have them. That being said it is only beneficial to them if they plan to keep him going forward. It doesn't seem like they do.

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

Guessing he gave them a list of teams that he is willing to go to and they are working for the best deal from those teams? I don't think him staying is even relatively an option for them as they get absolutely nothing as he leaves in the offseason.
  19. CardsSunsDbacks

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

Other players may have had time with the Suns where they were more impactful on the team, but Devin's amount of time with the team and accomplishments with the team put him at the top IMO. This team has only seen 3 finals and Devin brought us one of those. Nash did make more deep playoff runs...

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

I think he is better off starting. Allows us to potentially overwhelm teams to start off the game and then we can start staggering guys in and out the rest of the game. Coming off the bench isn't for everyone and Beal has been a starter his whole career.

    The Grayson Allen thread

I know this board has gone through this argument before, but what you do at 18-22 years old (outside of legitimately evil crimes of course) shouldn't have to stick with you until you are in your late 20s. The same thing happens with a players weaknesses as well as plenty of people will tell you...

    The Grayson Allen thread

I don't think there has been much negative talk about him since the season started, but there certainly were people firmly against getting him at the time of the trade. Despite the fact that all of the stuff they didn't like him for was pretty far in the past for the most part.
  24. CardsSunsDbacks

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

If we can get him for guys that aren't even touching the court than it makes our rotation deeper. Considering depth is one of our biggest issues, it makes sense.
  25. CardsSunsDbacks

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

Someone by default has to take a hit because you just aren't going to get 28-30 from two guys and then still get another 25 or so from a third guy. The only way we could do that is to simply run all of our offense through big 3 ISO and I don't think any of us want that.
