    This is all true, but I would point out that Kobe was pretty fortunate to be drafted into that situation with the Lakers. Always had one of the greatest coaches of all time and won his first 3 titles with one of the most dominant big men of all time.

    I think we are seeing teams adjusting to him and giving him a lot more attention. The only way he was going to keep up that scoring this year was if he became very accustomed to taking and making tough shots. Doesn't appear he has.

    This is looking like a much better hire as the season progresses. There are some coaches in the league that may have gotten more out of this team earlier on, but he has stuck to his guns, continued to search for the right lineups and it is paying off now.

    Probably has a lot to do with the opposing lineup. If we are facing a lineup that is more geared towards defense than EG is probably best and a lineup that is more geared towards offense JO will probably be better.

    Nothing will bring a team together faster than standing up for each other on the court. It's also a sign that they are a unit as well. Ayton has been the pushee in such a scenario, but I can't recall him standing up for a teammate quite like that.

    Not sure why he can't just do what Djokovic does with unruly fans. Doesn't have them thrown out, but talks back to them and uses it as fuel to play better.

    Beal will likely have some games where he does that as well. He had 37 in the first game of the current win streak. Nice to have that much scoring punch in 3 players.

    What does saying you want to be traded have to do with this specific quote? The real question is when is the last time you heard "I don't want to be traded" instead of something like "it's a business, I like where I'm at, but whatever happens happens". The latter is probably the most used type...

    The bird rights are what I was curious about. Looks like we can sign him to more than a minimum in the offseason and is big if we want to hold onto him.

    Free agency next year should have zero to do with whether we trade him or not. Whether or not the trade gives us a better chance at winning should be all that matters. This team is currently all in on winning now and therefor we need to do what gives us the best chance right now.

    Allen is only worth trading if we get a good 4 in return. I have a hard time believing we will get someone that has more impact than him in a trade.

    You can also plug in one of Little or Okogie in there somewhere to get a little more defense as well. Their lack of shooting isn't nearly the same liability when they are the only one on the floor that can't shoot for much.

    Regardless of mileage MJ was playing on two bad knees with the Wiz and still played good defense while carrying a huge load on offense. LeBron has been spending time off on defense for a long time, not just in his late 30s.

    He certainly wasn't elite on defense with the Wiz, but he was a plus defender still. Also, in his first year with the Wizards he took what was the worst defense in the league the year prior to playing top 10 defense prior to his knee injury right before the all star break.

    Well for Bol it might be 2 a game, but he can do enough good to offset that. What's hard for the coach is constantly going back to him after have a couple bonehead plays in a short period or a game where he is particularly bad.

    Just a friendly reminder that in 37 games last year before catching covid he was averaging 12 points, 7 Rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 26 minutes on 59% from the field and 39% from 3. A couple solid games should not be a surprise and with consistent playing time you can get some good games from...
