The 2025 NBA All-Star game will have a pickup style tourney format.

I believe they said the winner of the Rising Star game would make up 1 of the 4 teams. Makes me curious how they'll build the other 3 rosters if that's still the plan. I can't see full 12-13 man rosters.

I imagine certain star players will select their teammates, playground style, but I'm only guessing.
Yeah that makes sense but I'm curious how many All-Star's there would be. 3 teams of 8 would keep the numbers the same. I'd rather see a 4th team added, which does mean more All-Stars but with expansion nearing it makes sense to expand it some. 4 teams of 8 would be fine. You can easily find 3-4 snubs for each conference now.
I'd rather the Rising Star stuff be separate. Keep that Friday night with the Rookie and Sophomores making up US vs World teams. If they want to expand that then have the winning team face the G-League All-Stars.

4th quarter collapse by Warriors against the Spurs but my goodness the refs in this one better get fined.
Jones gets a rebound and I guess he got hit in the head couldn't really tell, but they didn't call anything. So he's holding the ball, walking forward, took 4 steps before Lindy Waters tied him up. The whole Warrior team is asking for a walk, and they call a foul on Waters. So they don't call the walk, and they don't give a jump ball. They inbound and Wemby hits a 3.
Next possession Castle fakes, blatantly walks, I'm watching the Spurs broadcast and their announcers both said he clearly walked. Draymond fouls him, starts asking for a walk, Kerr came all the way across halfcourt way out of the coaches box yelling for a walk, they didn't give him a T because they knew how bad the no call was especially after the previous one.
Turned a 3 point game into an 8 point game. even Castle on the 2nd one knew he walked he was about to slam the ball down when the ref called the foul. And it WAS a foul, but only because they didn't call the walk before it
One of the worst shooting games I've ever seen Steph have 5-16 3-10 from 3 and at least 2 airballs.
