Is this the most unanimously disliked pick in ASFN history?

I hated the Kendall Marshall pick worse than this pick. But there was also absolutely no talent chosen after Marshall. I think there will be a couple of gems in the #12-#25 range. Kabengele might be one.

Maybe Coby White will still be there at 11... Edit: Nevermind

Suns trade #6 for Saric and 11th pick

I actually don't disagree much with this. I was all for trading back. But to go back from #6 to #11 is a big move back. The first 3 picks were set. The next 4 should have been White, Garland, Culver, and Hunter in any order. Reddish is pretty much #8. The prospects afterward are all pretty...

Suns trade #6 for Saric and 11th pick

My question is why make the trade now? Why not hold on to the pick and wait for #6 pick to come around and see if someone desperately wants White, Garland, or Culver? I'm 99.9% sure that we still could have made this trade while we were on the clock. Plus, we could have leveraged other teams...

Suns trade #6 for Saric and 11th pick

You mean Hunter who was probably going to be there at #6 anyway? Not world's different. Almost the exact same. #3 and #4 are world's apart.

Suns trade #6 for Saric and 11th pick

This trade looks even worse when you line it up next to what the Pels got. The Pels go back 4 spots and get 2 1sts. We go back 6 spots and get Saric. This just doesn't add up. James looks like he is getting taken advantage of.

    They want Hunter.

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

I really like the Brogdon comp. And that's the problem. Brogdon is a good combo G. He's either a really good rotational back up guy to a quality PG and SG, or he's a starting SG with a stellar PG. But where does he fit here? Do you really see us winning anything with Brogdon starting at PG...

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

I'm not so high on Culver either. When I watch his film I'm left uninspired. I suppose he could pull a Paul Pierce and make me look stupid, but I just don't see that high of a ceiling with him. I love that he can be a good Defender. I think he'll improve as a 3pt shooter. I like his...

    2019 Free Agency

I would feel like we don't believe that "Defense wins championships". While Tobias isn't a bad defender, he's not really good either. Collison IS a bad defender (#42 for PGs), and next to Book we'd be the single worst Defensive back court in the NBA. (Same with Russell). Toronto played D and...

Suns have discussed Warren, Jackson, #6 pick in trade packages

If we sign Russell does that mean Bridges will be guarding all 5 players at once?
  14. Raze

    Jaxson Hayes

Jaxson is exciting but is exclusively a 5. 7-4 wingspan and good anticipation on blocks. Not a bad free throw shooter 74%. Uses his long arms to get boards, but isn't really experienced enough or strong enough to be a good rebounder yet. (Only one 10+ rebound game this year) Still he's...

Suns have discussed Warren, Jackson, #6 pick in trade packages

If they get Jrue, I wonder if Oubre is a real option given they need a starting caliber PF. I'd much rather see them land a guy like Thaddeus Young on the "cheap" vs overspending for Randle. If we land Jrue, our O should go through 1, 2, and 5 providing flexibility to put Defenders at 3 and 4...

Suns have discussed Warren, Jackson, #6 pick in trade packages

Two things: First, make this happen James. (I really need to maintain a level head with these rumors) Second, this could indicate that #2 is for sale so Ja Morant is attainable. If not Jrue then Ja.

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

This is true. You can also factor in that smaller guys usually have quicker lateral movement and quicker change of direction. This helps with hands in the lane and finishing lay ups in traffic. There's also a deception factor with guys like Westbrook. You body him up in the lane and then...

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

I'm more an advocate for White than Clarke, but not really by much. They both at least bring a ton of energy. One thing they don't bring are measurables (sorry for the following, I was bored). White's hand are insanely small at 7.75 (the 2nd smallest of the prospects) and a horrific +0%...

    Obtainable Point Guards this off-season

Well, they are certainly less valuable at the top 3. The average percentage to land the #1 pick or a top 3 pick for the bottom 3 teams were both reduced by an average of about 30% (#1: from 20% to 14% and Top 3: 55% to 40%). IOW, they are on average 30% less valuable than in 2018. (There's...

    Obtainable Point Guards this off-season

We might be able to package up future 1sts and JJ and Warren. Honestly, I don't care about future 1sts. The way they've set up the lottery you might as well have the 13th spot as opposed to the 1st (Which is why they modified the structure after the Chris Webber to Orlando draft after they...

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

I'm guessing that's why he continues to be overlooked in the top 15. His film is far better than many of the other guys, so there must be something keeping teams away. Could be those knees. Strangely enough it doesn't seem to keep teams away from Garland who I have FAR more concerns about.

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

In my humble opinion, no. Sekou could become that mid 1st gem like Giannis, but he has A LOT of work to do. My biggest concern with him is his timing. He often mistimes rebounds, close outs, and defensive switches. It's not just the lack of experience that's the problem. His movements are...

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

I agree. I wouldn't give up anything of value for Ball. In fact, I consider acquiring him as subtraction by addition. Stay away from him. (I seriously wouldn't trade JJ straight up for him) White isn't a shiny gem that we should be coveting, but he isn't trash either. He's a quality...

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

Funny, I just scouted him yesterday on a flyer. Luka doesn't currently have the strength and stable base to survive in this league. He gets pushed off balance easily and doesn't have a power game at all. However, the guy runs like a gazelle and has elite open court speed for his size...

Suns have 6th pick and 32nd pick in 2019 draft.

I'm hopeful that Jrue's strong connection with Monty persists. If so, he's a perfect fit here. If he wants nothing to do with us then I wouldn't make the move. James and Monty could easily use back channels to find out his intentions. I remain hopeful.
