    Like all award shows, the Oscars main function is to serve as a catalyst to create excitement and business for the industry. When a film or a recording artist sweeps up a lot of awards, it creates consumer demand to experience those products.

    Meh, IMO Blockbusters and blockbuster sequels in general tend to be rather formulaic and not especially innovative or creative. Planes fly, things blow up, batsuits are worn, etc.

    Because there is one near me, I go to GC for the basics... strings, stands, picks, chords, etc. Anything other than the basics I'll go elsewhere or online. I'm in the market for a good acoustic simulator pedal if anyone has a reco. Tired of hauling an acoustic to gigs for just 1 song.
