    First, let me just say I am not in the this season is a wash club on this board. Brissett would be a good interim solution and if Bidwill, Monti and the coaching staff do their jobs (spending money, bringing in and developing schemes to fit personnel) we could have a quick turn around.

    Hopefully John Wall. Would be excellent back up to Paul and may get a lot of playing time to keep Paul rested. Would provide a lot of play making with second unit guys. Nerlens Noel would be another guy I'd love on the bench.

    Bidwill needs to throw big money at a high profile college HC. Harbaugh seems to be listening, maybe Dabo Swinney. David Shaw was thought at one point to be the favorite to land in DEN. Maybe Bidwill is waiting to speak with PHI / KC coordinators.

    That is a lot to give up for a non player any way you slice it. DEN was probably the one team that could do that and be fine. Their Walmart owners can go and buy up all the top FA's and fit them under the cap by handing out huge bonuses like Kroenke. Bidwill ain't in that league.

    I think refs should face fines / suspensions if they are constantly making questionable calls / rulings and I mean all sports refs, not just NFL.

    Would there be any rules broken if Payton resigned (quit) as NO HC and sign deal with ARZ to be HC? I couldn’t find anything. I guess maybe a clause in an NFL coaches contract indicates it can’t be done to prevent coaches from doing it regularly?

    But he is the guy who determines who is re-signed or not. Obviously, this is one of the biggest blunders during his tenure. To let a 12 sack pass rusher under the age of 27 go for less than $9M a year is crazy. PHI still got him for a song. He will break the bank on his next deal in 2 years.

    Some on this board will have a meltdown over this post. I could see Darnold as a possibility but anyone other fragile Colt McCoy needs to be stop gap.
