    Which is just crazy considering basically half the league makes the playoffs and the NFC is likely to be middling again. With a couple more impact defensive additions, we'd be in a position to make the playoffs.

    Agree with this. Even with very similar stats, I also feel that Hasselbeck was mainly along for the ride, whereas McNabb had to be gameplanned.

    I think this is pretty harsh on McNabb...Hasselbeck never was better than just fine (like Kirk Cousins), whereas McNabb often was one of the better QB's at the time.

    My dude, that was 2+ years ago. We're sitting on 35M of cap space and haven't spent big money on a player since. Bidwill continues to hamstring the franchise by not handing out big money.

    Having Hard Knocks chronicle it was even better...Budda pouring his heart out and getting straight up ignored, Kliff looking around like a deer in the headlights, Nuk completely checked out. In a way, it was a pretty good encapsulation of the AZ Cardinals experience.

    Yeah, I think you totally overvalue "building up the underbelly". Our biggest problem isn't our 2nd and 3rd string players - it's the glaring lack of above average starters, let alone stars. Getting credible 2nd and 3rd string players is far easier than getting good players.
