Yeah... it's the whole. Blind squirrel/Nut thing with a Bidwill in charge.
Agreed! And honestly, if not for all the negative press recently specifically about him, he still be more involved.

So, at least he's no longer playing with his nuts and he's leaving that to the adults in the room. Hope it pans out!

It’s really a great time to be optimistic about the Cardinals. But, as a fan of 60 years, the Bidwills, somehow, someway, always manage to screw the pooch. That’s why sustained success is so important with this franchise.

What's crazy is that if you look at it, in every decade they've had a serviceable QB, but never strung wins or winning seasons together for very long.

1970s: Jim Hart
1980s: Neil Lomax
1990s: Jake Plummer
2000s: Kurt Warner
2010s: Carson Palmer
2020s: Kyler Murray

6 decades. 6 good quarterbacks, only qualified for the playoffs 7 times (1975, 1998, 2008, 2009, 2014, 2015, 2021), one SB appearance, 1 NFC Championship.

For the past 60 years that's 52 seasons (not counting the strike year) ending out of the playoffs. What's been the common denominator in those 60 years?

The 2022 season was about as bad of a season as a franchise can have. That was potentially rock bottom by any metric when you factor in all of the different issues. It doesn't feel like the Cardinals are as dysfunctional now as they were then, but the roster is still not good, and the wins are tbd.

If the wins are TBD, then why isn't the roster TBD?
Because the roster progressed from "bad" to "not good". The wins were the same in 2023 as they were in 2022. Also, I wanted to avoid the "intentional tank excuse" for the lack of year 1 wins progress.

I could have easily said the roster still sucks (has major holes and tons of unproven players) and the changes haven't resulted in any wins improvement, but that would not have made people happy either.

the cardinals are michael bidwill - he's having monti do the thinking and he's spending more than he ever has

as far as the team team - haven't been this excited in a long while - locked and loaded for the most part after a year with no real weapons

lastly - a lot of millionaires are becoming billionaires - if bidwill doesn't want to get ishbia'd he better stop skimping on the facilities and what not

If true, then it’s even more pathetic that we’re 30 million under the cap with huge holes (PLURAL) at the most important position on the defense.

According to this (Written by a coworker of mine who moonlights as a Cardinals reporter. He runs Revenge of the Birds and goes to the post game conferences, etc. Nice to see him get an article on MSN. I will congratulate him.) the Cardinals franchise value increased by 16% this year. But, the Cards dropped three spots in the NFL rankings to number 29. New Orleans, Jacksonville and Cincy are the bottom three.

I don't mind Root. Tell him he does a good job.

I'm not sure what you are seeing, but this is the most optimistic I have been about this team in many years.

I really like our coaching staff, and Monti seems to at least be competent as a GM.

The cap situation is good, we have a lot of young players that can hopefully develop.

Kyler is in his prime, we were able to run the ball extremely well last year, we have a stud young TE, and possibly a stud young WR.

To me the only thing to worry about is the defense.
