    I had noticed from game 3 on in the series that the Mavs defensive strategy was similar to the Lakers' last year (pressure paul, double Booker). Of course, Kidd was an assistant with the Lakers last year and saw how effective that strategy was when Paul was hurt.

    FYI Kobe's carerr playoff stats: 25.6 pts, 5.1 reb, 4.7 ast Booker's 26.1, 5.4, 4.5 Kobe wasn't on Jordan or Lebron's level.

    Kobe had some real garbage playoff games. I don't think Booker is that far off from Kobe's level. Not sure if you and I are disagreeing about Booker's level or Kobe's level though.

    Does anyone remember how awesome the Suns looked during Monty's first month coaching the team? Then they lost like 20 games in a row, it was like they suddenly became a different team? This last month reminded me of that. It's the only time I'd ever seen such an inexplicable transformation.

    This is what the Lakers did last year and the only reason it worked is because in both series the Suns were playing 4 on 5 on offense because there was something wrong with Paul.

    Who cares? That's who he is. He was talking trash in 30 point losses for 5 years. He's tough as hell and can lead a team to a championship. He owned the loss and didn't act like a sore loser.

    I think Simmons is a better player than Ayton and perhaps when he's the 3rd or 4th option his will doesn't matter as much. James Jones would never trade for a headcase like him though.
