    I don't think its a bad trade, just an unnecessary one. I just think the Suns already had guys that were just as good as Shamet so it seemed kind of pointless. I'm disappointed that they still don't have a backup center or a power forward.

    Yes, they are different players who impact the game in different ways. There's no perfect way to compare such players, but there are numbers that try to capture a player's cumulative impact on a game. Bridges compares favorably to Middleton using such metrics.

    Interestingly Bridges has higher win shares this season than Middleton has ever had in his career. His vorp is higher too.
