    I can tell you first hand, here in San Diego, with a lousy, Mike McCoy lead Charger team, DJ Flunker (1st round tackle from Alabama) made a similar assertion, basically saying that Alabama was a "pro" program and his adjustment was going to be a piece of cake...learned really, REALLY quickly...

    I think AB would be a bad fit right now, rookie QB, new (maybe rookie) HC, new staff...GM on the hot seat... I also think it unfair to put Fitz in a position to have to deal with an ego while he should be riding off into the sunset. (assuming we are lucky enough for him to return)...

    All kidding aside and regardless of how bad the previous coaching staff is, the level of talent is ridiculously different, as is the level of detail required to play in the NFL. The worst player on any teams 53 man roster was most likely one of the best players on his college team.

    That is a fair point and true. But we know what a Todd Bowles defense is capable of. When you have no balance as a team and the defense spends a majority of the time on the field you are going to look like that...Which can absolutely be applied to Wilks as well.

    His access for an interview was limited due to the Eagles making it to the SB, the only reason McDaniels was aligned with the Colt's HC job is that he was aggressively interviewed due to his golden boy status that he has enjoyed... FR was fired as OC with the Chargers and the Eagles were seen...

    No one really seriously considered Reich, he was knee deep in an SB playoff drive (so his access would have been limited) and only was interviewed after Josh McDaniels (who was also on an SB drive, but has been on everyone's short list for a while) left the Colts at the alter...

    I really wanted KK as an OC (with his heir apparent as the QB coach) and thought there was no way he would leave SC for a coordinator job...but, good old SC delivers! I would love to see Campbell get the HC job, KK as OC, and an aggressive, 3-4 DC!

    My understanding is the entire athletic dept is on notice as it is...I think Helton is a lame duck and Swann might be tied to Helton's upcoming season...So at this point maybe having an heir apparent waiting in the wings who was not hired by a potentially new AD isn't such a huge concern for SC...
