    There were rumors out there that teams were trying to trade back into the 1st round to draft Darius. I'm not so sure he would have been there, so you take the guy you value. Plus, Monti already stated that they thought Darius would be gone by 27.

    Or because a QB (Daniels/Maye) didn't fall to 4, no one was willing to pay a QB premium for a QB they didn't consider worth it. If NE shocked everyone and selected MHJ, I'm sure we would have traded down again.

    I say that the Falcons have a good team outside of QB and would have easily won their division with even mediocre QB play. Why not double down in the most important decision in sports? If Kirk gets hurt game 1 like Aaron Rodgers did, the Falcons would look like geniuses.
