PreDraft notes. Draft news leading up to draft day.

He was amazing as a Sophomore! I guess it comes down to if teams believe his shoulder injury hindered his tackling because it wasn’t fully healed or if there are long term effects that he might not be able to over come. Hope for his sake he returns to form! Somebody will get a ballhawk!

Is he OT #5 for you?

    Derek Brown

Isn’t there a reason for multiple threads? Didn’t know Ruggs can only be talked about it one and why you feel the need to tell me my OPINION is wrong is AAF!!

    Derek Brown

You need to read the thread too apparently. I have multiple posts in it. WTF?!!

    Derek Brown

This is pretty much how I would have it. I would flip Ruggs and Lamb, but that’s just nitpicking. One of the top three make it to eight, we better not pass!

Chris Johnson looks to be in a heap of trouble

The reason he has attackers could easily be because he wanted out. Gangs aren’t like everyday jobs where you just put in your two week notice and go your separate ways.

Things that make me say "hmmmmm"

There are many more differences between the two including height, vertical, ability to high point the ball, tracking the ball on deep routes, the ability to catch the ball away from their frame(Ruggs with over ten inch hands). Ruggs was the most explosive player I have ever seen on tape. My...

Things that make me say "hmmmmm"

Game speed on tape is not comparable. Ruggs flew by SEC competition. AI is only combine fast

Things that make me say "hmmmmm"

NFL is about creating mismatches. We would have three special weapons in DHop, Ruggs and KM that would put fear in every DC. How many teams have a second CB that can run with Ruggs? He impacts how defenses will align. He can make an impact without catching the ball. No safeties in the box...

Who will be the wild top-10 pick?

They can cut JimmyG after this season with very little dead cap. I hope they give up both firsts to get Herbert, whose trash

Who will be the wild top-10 pick?

Niners trade up for a QB.

Getting an offensive lineman at #8

was he pushing this truck at the combine when he ran a 5.6? Sorry, couldn’t help myself!

    Derrick Brown vs Javon Kinlaw

Joseph is a nice player, but I doubt he really strikes fear in opposing teams. And this is best case I see for Brown. To me, Joseph is replaceable player, not a cornerstone.

    Derrick Brown vs Javon Kinlaw

Brown reminds me of Linval Joseph. Just going back and forth if that is good value at eight with other prospects that will be available. Kinlaw has a higher upside as a pass rusher, but has a lower floor than Brown. He feels a little risky inside top ten for me.

    If the Draft Were Tomorrow

Maybe second best behind Derek Stingley Jr

Every teams breakout player for 2020 (bleacher report)

He definitely has rare physical gifts and was productive in college. Since he was also a good blocker I would hope he could become a move TE/big slot at very least. This offense would be real scary if he did reach his potential though!!

    Let’s Talk About Drake

Dobbins doesn’t do anything that excites you, but he is very well rounded and would be a great pick if he’s there in the third! Mark Ingram comes to mind when I watch him
  18. Ohcrap75

Is Javon Kinlaw worthy of the 8th overall pick?

He’s very raw, but has elite upside. I have heard Fletcher Cox comp for physical ability. Read a lot about how he has excellent work ethic and character. But hard to take an that unpolished of a player at 8 with the talent I assume will be on the board. If we drop back in the teens, then absolutely

    Cooper

Can Izzy take the spot? I assume he returned in college?

    Isolation: Quick Overview

Cushenbury, Hennessy or Biadasz would be great in the third!

that ILB position and the draft

We could also add a guy like Jeremy Chinn in the third that would be a great matchup guy to cover TE’s. He is like what Dbuc was supposed to be in coverage

    Isolation: Quick Overview

Great job Rugby! I personally like teams to build inside out and we don’t have many core players in the trenches. OT at 8 and penetrating DL in round 3 would be ideal for me

Who do we draft now at #8?

Although he hasn’t played LT, I think that had more to do with Tua being left handed and having Wills protect his blind side. Obviously that is just a theory, but doesn’t seem to have any limitations that would suggest he couldn’t play on the left side
