    There seems a way to go around it, by having 3rd team sign the waived player, CP3, and then trade him to the original team, Suns, after Dec. 15 or whatsever the date for new contracts to be traded again.

    I read on the RM board that CP3 and Shamet's contracts are attractive to teams because their one year salary could be stretched out to 5 years for this year's cap relief. Normal final-year contracts cannot. That's maybe the reason CP3's option will get picked up, as trade assets say to Clippers...

    DA/Shamet for Turner/Hield(or McConnel). I'm not familiar with Hield's game, whether he can create his own shots or not. I believe we need a Powell, TMann, Bruce Brown, Malik Monk type of secondary playmaker off the bench. Payne is too streaky at this role.

    Seeing how Lakers quick adjustment on D to make it much harder for Nugs offense, it's clear why Suns got eliminated 3 years in a roll in the same embarassing manner -- we could not find sufficient adjustment to disrupt their off. game plan.

    yeah, Monty knows only one way to play, 2man PnR with 3 parked on 3pt-line. Hachimura would be sat just like Craig and Okogie were even though he is a much better offensive threat. For the same reason he kept playing Shamet hoping his supposed better 3pt shot would materialized on court some time.

    Lakers studied Jokic's game and disrupted several passes. They adjusted quickly and effectively. They also put Hachimura on him with some success. Can't understand why we didn't get him for Crowder and 2nd rounders.

    Mann has the size and needed tools to play great defense, and is at least the same level of Malik Monk, Bruce Brown on offense. A lineup of Book, Mann, Okogie could switch freely on D.

    If we had our 12.5m MLE, I'd try Brook Lopez and Plumlee who are UFA. For trades Adams, Turner might be available?

    Should Ayton be Traded?

    Even though DA is still young but he's acquired too many bad habits, so that it'd take at least 2 years to get rid. But then our window with KD is gone. So, trade him ASAP.
