The idea should be, before each game have Dunn and Okogie minick in the practice before the other team's sure harassing defenders on KD and Book, let them feel and prep how to resolve such nasty pressures. In game, let the opposing stars feel Dunn and JO's nastiness nonstop.

Suns draft Ryan Dunn at #28

At start of last season, the initial idea was to start Okogie to defend the best player 1-3, that's when JO thought he'd fight for all-def. NBA honor. Then, Vogel spent half season to integrate all the newcomers from Goodwin, Little, Yuta, to KBD that left little playing time for JO.

Suns draft Ryan Dunn at #28

Dunn and Okogie on court together would be insane defensively.

I recall the previous year Suns fans didn't want to trade Crowder for GAllen straightup. There was good reason GA was just throw in in that Liliard trade. He improved a lot on defense with the Suns, but his shooting is not good enough yet to be a starter on any contending teams, say the qrt...

it's strange to me why Damion opted out in the first place now he just signed the same min. contract for 1 year?

Beal is professional in there, and he was quite healthy the 2nd half of the season despite unfortunate injury setbacks twice. Bud may be able to instill some Jrue mentality in him as both are equally strong for their size, Beal in his mold needs to focus even more on defense, and ball handling...

Sometimes I suspect that the mgmt only looked at the stats but how they actually played before they signed those min contract including Damion's last offseason. That explains why almost all of them failed which partially ruined our season. Damion was visiually shying away from a lot of open 3s...

Klay has the true star mentality in his vein, as long as his conditioning sustains it. Rotation players contribution can more easily found with substitutes and replaced, such as Marshall and Exum can replace DJJ's if not even better so. Mavs gains big time with Klay acquisition, ex ante.

Damion shyed away from a lot of semi open 3pt shots to not ruin his %, at the cost of team success. He's a fair weather shooter, not at all useful in playoffs.

Suns sign center, Mason Plumlee to a one year deal

We hated Eubanks for both O and D positioning around P&Rs. Plumlee is much better there. Better rebounder too. Nurk is better at off. facilitating though.

I became a Suns fan because of Barkley, for how he dominated the game with his limited size.

Okogie signed the deal last offseason, with kinda promise of better deal this offseason using early Bird. He didn't mesh well with Vogel, so that hurt his market value. I guess Suns could sign him for 4-5mil a year deal, slightly higher than his current 2.9m

Suns draft Ryan Dunn at #28

Exactly! Vogel rarely played JO, early on to give time to newcomers from Little to KBD, Yuta, Goodwin. In a couple times JO paired with Saben and Goodwin, they changed the game with their D, against opp. second units notwithstanding. I hope Bud has guts and game plan to play JO and Dunn together...

or secure something like 10 additional possesions via steal, off. reb., or overall disruptions. Okogie is such type of player, I believe Dunn is too. It requires smarter coaches like PhilJ, and hopefully Budenholz too, to utilize them despite not being a shooter.

Tyrese Samuel reportedly has agreed to an Exhibit-10 Contract with the Suns

I was thinking the same that we finally got our own 7'4 wingspan guy in the draft. LOL.

There is Draymond Green comp, seems smart C/PF player with good athletism. Adem Bona behind him is more athletic.

This pick is a signal that our coaching and mgmt recognize defense as the main area of work for the next season. Good sign to begin the offseason.

Great pick! Imagine Dunn/Okogie/Saben together, nobody can really score on them from the entire league.

When healthy, this Knicks team would be defensively perfect to beat the Celtics, as long as Randle not being the hole on D.

Not really. Mikal developed a secondary go-to scorer skill with the Nets which OG doesn't have. Their starting 5 with Hartenstein/Randle/OG/Mikal/Brunson plus Hart/DiVin/McBride on Bench is formidable playoff contender.

If Mikal had stayed with the Suns, he'd not have had the chance to show case his scoring ability as much as with Nets. His career trajectory would be much different. No regret here.
