Can't guarantee that we would get trade offers, especially getting back our # 1 next year. Pretty tough to rebuild a roster without #1 picks.
I also don't want Monti to go after any franchised players. Big hits on cap and draft capital.
Very impressive post and a bunch of work put into it. I lost some excitement with all the void years but I see why you did it.
If Monti does anything close to this then the Cards will be in the playoffs.
I'll admit my view is influenced by my trenches first belief and that KM would be greatly helped by a very strong IOL.
So if we don't get a quality LG in FA then I want a great prospect drafted and I'm okay with that being the 27th pick.
I hated it when you had your meltdown and begged to be banned and loved it when you did your Phoenix thing and came back to us.
Your whit and clearverness is awesome and why you are a must read poster.
I don't think you give Hump enough credit but that's just mho. I've moved off taking Alt at 4 but do believe we need to do something significant to address the OT position.
I do agree that the WR position is a huge need so I would be good with MHJ at 4.
So you wouldn't want the extra year for an awesome IOL. Continuity is a big plus for the Oline. I think an excellent player at any position is good for utilizing the 5th year option.
It was very encouraging and fun to watch the run game, especially at the end of the season. Oline gelling and KM made a big difference.
Now we have lost Hump so if that isn't addressed this offseason then the entire offense will suffer.
Any scenario that upgrades the RT and keeps Beachum as the swing OT is what I want.
I doubt any OT drafted in rd 3 or later would be an upgrade over Beachum for this year. I don't know enough about the available FA RTs to know if they are upgrades over Beachum.
