    Bohemian Rhapsody (Freddie Mercury biopic)

Yeah, this was a fun ride. I too learned a lot about Queen that I didn't know. Loved the Mike Myers cameo.

    Wonder

Yeah this was a solid movie. Better than I was expecting as well.

    A Star is Born (re-re-reboot)

This was amazing. It sucked me in from the start and never let up. The performances by Cooper and Gaga were near perfect. It did win one oscar for best original song, but yeah it deserved more than that.

    The Girl on the Train

Wow! While I agree it wasn't brilliant film making, I thought it was at least watchable.

    Cobra Kai (Netflix)

Yeah it was all over the place at times, but still the most fun I’ve ever had watching tv.

Because Daniel is a jerk! We just didn’t know it all this time because we were tricked!

    BlacKkKlansman

Fantastic. Crazy that it's based on a true story. I didn't know John David Washington was Denzel's son.

    Superbad

Rewatched this one 12 years later. Apparently I didn't know who Emma Stone was when I originally watched it, since I didn't know she was in it. Still holds up well in the raunchy R-rated comedy genre.

DCU: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Wow, 39 pages for this one. 30 of them before the film was even released. This was the best line in the film. The best scenes were those that included WW.

    I, Tonya

"Everyone has their own truth." I expected this to be stupid; boy was I wrong. The style and tone they set was indeed brilliant. I was shocked by this one; very fun movie. Allison Janney was awesome as her mom. Well deserving of her oscar.

    Movie-A-Day #81: Stand By Me

That would be an awesome trip.

    Cobra Kai (Netflix)

If you loved the original Karate Kid and if you're roughly the same age as these characters, you will have a blast watching this show.

    Movie-A-Day #81: Stand By Me

Yeah, I think everything except for the bridge jumping scene was filmed in Oregon. I've never seen a bridge like that in Oregon. Rewatched this for the first time since 2004. What a classic. One of the few films that my kids loved just as much as I did when I was a kid.

    Gangs of New York

I rewatched this for the first time since watching it when it was first released on dvd. I had forgotten most of the details; all I remembered well was the incredible opening scene. DDL was absolutely amazing. He was larger than life in every single scene. I can't believe it was shutout at...

    On the Basis of Sex

This was really good. It also reminded me that I need to learn more about the history of the supreme court. It's definitely my weakness of the federal government.

    Movie-A-Day #189: Platoon

I rewatched this for the first time since renting it on vhs in '88 as a kid. Waaay different perspective watching as an adult. A bit of trivia: Oliver Stone wrote the first draft of Platoon in 1971, and sent it to Jim Morrison in hopes that he would play the part Charlie Sheen would...

    A Quiet Place

Neat little film. I'm not really a fan of horror, but I enjoy a fresh story like this, regardless of how ridiculous it is. This was great.

    Green Book

It did quite well. I thought it was fantastic, especially the interactions between Mortensen and Ali. I just learned that the real Tony Lip played Carmine Lupertazzi on the Sopranos. Wow.

Brett Kollman’s take on Arizona’s defense

Yeah, that was great. I'm excited for football season now.

    Winchester

Heck of a story. I listened to a cool podcast about it a few years ago. The film just didn't deliver though. Acting was good, but there just wasn't much to the script.

    Coffee SHOP Talk

Haha. Not sure. It's just tradition at this point. Perhaps we'll give Mackeys a try as long as they're open for breakfast.

    Disney Plus (streaming service)

We got it free because we have verizon. I watched hamilton and some other disney film. I also watched that star wars show. However, once the free trial is over I'll probably make my daughter pay for it if she wants it. Maybe I'll split the cost with her if she convinces me. If I remember right...

    Coffee SHOP Talk

Sweet. We always stop at Dennys in Payson when we cut down our christmas tree in november. Not sure what we'll do this year. Maybe we'll just try this coffee shop instead. I doubt we'll be eating in restaurants at that point.

Lost ended 10 years ago today

And here we go. We watched S1E1 last night. My daughter, son and I have been watching The Walking Dead on netflix almost nightly during the quarantine. We made it to season 9. I just moved my son into an ASU apartment on Monday, so now I'm down to 1 kid at home. In his absence we're looking for...
