What a superb video.

Its amazing how much details fans miss when watching games. I never realised how much CJ dropped into coverage.

It also covers why I love football. The difference between bad and good is often very small. In our case removing Suggs made a huge difference.

The thing that went through my mind is why did the Cardinals wait to release Terrell Suggs before they made defensive adjustments last season.

That was great!! Looking forward to seeing some improvement out of Reddick. That video highlights what happens when players are forced to play out of position. My concern still lies with the CB position. No doubt we will need to draft multiple CB's in next years draft.

It did highlight how bad Murphy was

My other big concern is who is spelling CJ in this defense? Kennard and Reddick are both SAM backers. Kennard gets most his sacks in the open field. He's not a pass rush threat like CJ is anyway.

Jones can't play 100% of snaps.

Because it was Suggs... the kickback for adjusting his role and pride

If Suggs was a bad fit, he was a bad fit. No use for the Cardinals sticking with a bad signing. They've had a lot of those.

Reddick can play WILL as well.

I think Chris Jones is going to be better than what Alford would have given anyway.

Could be, but will they actually play him. Even a couple days ago they mention kevin Peterson before they mention him, and they cut him last year before bringing him back.

For some reason I think the coaching staff has something against him.

I can obviously not see what the coaches see/think and their professional take opposed to mine as a fan, but Jones was not a liability towards the end of the year and improving as expected with a young guy getting ample playing time and will only get better. Dude has the size, length and speed to play the outside and draft position be damned... he's a better outside CB than Murphy so far

I meant someone that will be an actual sack or pressure threat.

We have some guys that can play DE in a normal 4 man front but not stand up.

CJ can't play every snap but he can play every pass rush snap. You don't have to spell him with somebody who is a great pass rusher. You spell him on early downs with somebody who is stout against the run.

Which would be who? Kennard is on the other side already.

Your options are Reddick, Kylie Fitz or never played there Gardeck.

Put me down in the Chris Jones fan club.

He stayed on his receivers hip and has good size. Guys like that tend to work out.

Think back the Sherman in his heyday. That dude was good at staying with his man and basically committing PI any time the play is close. That style of play works in the NFL

I'd rather role with Chris Jones that one of these no hope retread.

The only one I'd give any rope is Kirkpatrick and I'm borderline on him.
