    2006 World Cup

Yeah, nothing but arrogance and me against the world attitude. The US boys which slept at my house for free since they couldnt find any accomodation in town the two nights before the actual game definitely didnt act like that. And it was nice that your countrymen that have visited my hometown...

    2006 World Cup

Stout, wont cut it out of my post, but will apologize for addressing you instead of BigDavis who provoked it by his know it all attitude. You were not the one responding that way, meaning that I made an obvious mistake and that probably I was the one who had a Guinness too much (ok,not...

Hope you will think a little bit longer, pal. Perhaps not everything is lost then... Oh my, pitiful players. I guess the ambulance is needed frequently for your games. I dont know what you have done when during the ref seminars they were talking about reckless tackles potentially endangering...

    2006 World Cup

I would suggest you try non US sources for a chance and not the one's for the US audience... A clear majority of all British newspaper websites describe all sentoffs as "clearly justified", the game itself as "sometimes brutal" and the US players as "dumb for not recognizing the rules at hand...

Total agreement regarding the teams performances. The American fans also outsang and outnumbered the Italian fans.

    2006 World Cup

Zeno, four deciding scenes in a game, you agree on at least 50% of them, are borderline on another and obviously biased ( :D ) on the fourth which everybody outside of the english-speaking world seems to agree on. And that makes for a horrible ref? :bang:

    2006 World Cup

Just saw a vote regarding the performance of the ref at the website of Germanys most influental newsmag " Der Spiegel". So far, about 1400 people have voted on a scale of 1-6 ( 1 is the best grade, 6 the worst): 50% voted 1, 25% voted 2, about 5% voted for 3,4,5 each, and 10% voted 6.

    2006 World Cup

Just a possibility at the moment. The team which finishes second in the US group will play the winner of the Brazilian group (also Australia, Japan and Croatia).

    2006 World Cup

I did! After the game I went directly home (headaches), switched on the telly, watched and listened to the taped broadcast, read and wrote on the largest german language soccer message board (www.transfermarkt.de) and then read some newspaper articles on the internet. Even the US supporters...

    2006 World Cup

You guys are killing me with your comments on the ref and his red cards. The ref was probably even the best guy on the field today. Otherwise, great atmosphere in the stadium and a great effort in the second half by the US team. - The red card against Italy: good call, harsh, coward, totally...

    2006 World Cup

Until Brazil at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and S Korea, no team had ever won a World Cup when it was not playing on its own continent (with America counting as one). That no Asian team won it that year was not that huge of a surprise. However, it was certainly a surprise for many that Japan...

Didn't we have a debate about Euro vs. NBA talent?

Thats a really bif "IF" if you ask me :-) Bradley has the German and the US nationality and has played for Germany internationally. He didnt made the cut (I think for the World Cup in Indianapolis) and since then didnt seem to be interested to play anymore. On the other hand it very well...

    USA vs Germany

Definitely top Euroleague material. For a reality check, just look at his resumee at Euroleague.com: Last year Femerling was Barcas third best player behind European legend SG/SF Dejan Bodiroga and former Euroleague and European Championship MVP SF/PF Gregor ****a. While I dont agree with...
