    Oden To Miss SEASON w/Microfracture!

I think this is more in Durant advantage. It just means that he didn't worked on his strength yet. It just give him more upside. Once he will have spent time working on his body he will be even better. That said, Oden was still the #1. The only question being how injury prone he is. I hope he...

    Oden To Miss SEASON w/Microfracture!

Portland could end up with another top 5 pick... If Oden can come back strong, I will not feel sorry for them.

    New Boris?

This game was meaningless. But if Diaw can wake up it is good news for the French team. Just one note about France. One of their best 5 (maybe the best) is a smallball 5 : PG Parker (6'2) SG Diawara (6'6) SF Kirksay (6'6) PF Pietrus F. (6'7) C. Diaw (6'8) This 5 put a lot of presure on...

    New Boris?

Yes I was talking about Florent. He is really great on defense. He knows how to use his athletism (similar to his brother). I think that on this side of the court he is the best of the two brothers and one of the best defender in Europe. On the offensive end the story is different. He has...

    New Boris?

He also had 4 offensive rebonds against Lithuania showing a more aggressive attitude. He also has 2 aggressive blocks the one against Italy being a game winning block. I really like his attitude on this side of the court. On the offensive end he is a disappointment. His ballhandling is suspect...

    Canada Needs Nash

Even with Nash I don't see how Canada could get a medal.

Erik Phillips is training Diaw with the French National Team

This block was awesome. Diaw is still passive on offense but at least he is a leader on defense. He took a lot of open 3 but missed them all. France played well but to be honest Germany is not very talented and France "just" had to focus on Dirk.

    NBA and relegation

I am not sure the sytsem would translate well: - In Europe we don't have completely separated Pro league. The professional teams are local team that grew up. There are thousands of small local team playing in divisions that can climb up the steps one by one (In my hometown the team went in 15...

    New Boris?

Actually Parker can't pass the ball to any French player in good condition because his teammates don't move. It is not easy to find the open man if there is no open man. That said Parker should do a better job to involved his teammates.

    New Boris?

There is also Gelabale. He had a good run with Seattle when Lewis was injured. It was a big surprise that Bergeaud didn't select him. Gelabale was a key player for France in 2005 and 2006. Diawara is great on Defense. He can produce on offense but doesn't have the confidence to do it. Soon we...

    New Boris?

It is much harder than in the NBA or even in the French league to get credit for an assist (teams average something like 10 assist a game). You can also note that the teams don't score much. Against Italy Parker scored 36 pts creating about 0 assist opportunities for all this point. His...

Sorry for not using the proper words. I meant "try to win the game all by themself instead of playing as a team".

    FIBA Americas Tournament

I can't wait to see how the team USA will react in close games. Will they develop some team chemistry? Will they still try to find the open man or will they try to go one on one?

    Hall of Fame Discussion

As a french I am not very familiar with the HOF. I don't know who is it and who is not. I believed the 2004-2005 pistons would be represented in the HOF and that without an obvious choice the place would be for billups. I am probably wrong.

    Hall of Fame Discussion

You will hate it but I believe Ginobili will be in the HOF. He has the rings, the Olympic gold medal, good numbers and some great playoff performance. Being an international player with a unique style (like it or not) will also help him.

    Diaw played with France

2 out of 3. Parker had 21 pts /5 ast, 20/7 and 12/4 games. One thing to notice about Parker : in 3 games he shot 9/13 3pt (FIBA distance).

    Diaw played with France

The insurance issues about is back are now fixed and Diaw was allowed to play with France this weekend. He played in 3 wins in the Paris tournament: France 86 - 64 Portugal Not an easy win despite the score. Diaw had 4 pts/6 rbds/ 4 ast in 20 minutes for his first game. Including a...

    An Issue of Assists

I am not sure about that. I think Parker is now a playmaker. He don't have many assists, but he can control the game. He would not be the passer Nash is of course but in the Suns system Parker would have 1 or 2 more assist per game. Nash in the Spurs system would still be a great playmaker, but...

The celtics to Sign Bill Russel

After earing about Penny Hardaway signing with Miami, Bill Russel proposed his services to the Boston Celtics. He should sign a 4 years contract + one year player option (22 million a year) in a few ours. After Signing KG, the celtics are now ready to build a new dynasty... unless Jordan...

    Take Two We're Small

I am wondering: - How long Boris career will last if he must guard bigs? - Amare is already foul prone, how many time will he be fouled out if we don't have a defensive big next to him? - We didn't outrun the Spurs. Will we be able to do it without Kurt "slowing us"? I understand the salary...
