Why aren't we talking about the asinine Coach Whisenhunt?

When it comes to Whisenhunt the pass is the usual option. Heyo!

Why aren't we talking about the asinine Coach Whisenhunt?

I don't mind passing in that situation. Just go playaction, not out of an empty backfield shotgun formation.

Oregon State @ Arizona Oct 9th

I can buy Stanford and Oregon, sure, but why USC? Cats beat that team in their house last year and I think this year's UA squad is better. Plus the game is in Tucson and at that point in the year USC knows they'll have nothing to play for.

Why aren't we talking about the asinine Coach Whisenhunt?

Less of an issue with the throw to Patrick than I do with the going five wide, no RB set out of the shotgun on I think the series before. They were midfield, I think Saints territory, and the call there was the play action. Instead the Cards went play action on 1st and 10 the next series. Almost...

    Dexter (Showtime)

Didn't love the episode but I guess after the intense finale there was bound to be a letdown. But, it was solid in moving the story along and yeah, I can't wait to see that FBI interrogation.

    Game 3 Impressions: Cardinals 24 Raiders 23

As alluded to already, the TD to Breaston was not a good throw. It was actually a piss poor throw where the WR was able to bail out the inaccurate QB. Can't happen all the time, as we've seen.

    Cal @ Arizona Sept 25th

Knowing that this team has Rose Bowl aspirations it's hard to imagine a let down game, since in the grand scheme the Iowa game doesn't matter there. However, as Cats fans I think we've been trained to almost expect the worst, so we'll see.

    Cards Jets Game Thread 2008

Kurt Warner of 2008 was coming off the Kurt Warner of 2007 season, where he proved that he still had some game left.

    Cards Jets Game Thread 2008

If Derek Anderson had the track record of a Kurt Warner I don't think you'd be seeing nearly the amount of angst that you do today.

Are we over-reacting or is QB a problem?

I never said he moved the ball far, just that yards were gained. :)

Are we over-reacting or is QB a problem?

No, I'm saying that maybe if DA was willing to dump the ball off he wouldn't take the pounding he did.

Are we over-reacting or is QB a problem?

DA takes a beating. Great. He still isn't completing passes. People dogged on Leinart all preseason for dumping the ball off when he was under a constant rush, but that's how you avoid getting hit and keep the ball moving. Doesn't matter how tough you are if all you're doing is holding the...

Are we over-reacting or is QB a problem?

He didn't look alright against the Rams. He looked like Derek Anderson. In both games.

    Mike Vick PLEASE

I'd rather roll with any of the 3 QBs on the roster than Vick. Dude has never been a good QB, and I don't expect him to become one now. Give me Anderson, who will help us land a QB in the draft, or Hall or Skelton, who may be the QBOF. Pass on Vick.

Calling all the DA lovers...where you at??

Shoot, it was the short passes that he couldn't complete. Throwing at guys' feet all day.

No way in hell is this a Pac10 #9 ranked team.

Well, I'm a UofA guy, so there's the rivalry thing. But also, as a UofA guy, I keep an eye on the Pac-10 in general.

No way in hell is this a Pac10 #9 ranked team.

Haha, I hardly know best. And, in this case, you can easily accuse me of bias. However, close losses are still losses. By this logic we could argue UofA is quite close to being Rose Bowl calibre, as their losses were close to Washington, Cal and Oregon. All one possession games, all came down...

No way in hell is this a Pac10 #9 ranked team.

While I don't remember anyone bringing UofA up, you should know that I'm not one of those people. But, any talk like that is based more off of last year than it is the win over Toledo. Finishing 2nd last season, returning virtually the same offense, Foles having another year in the system and a...

I'm sorry, but I can't resist. I love how an ASU fan can't spell the word "no" correctly in the title of this thread. Just saying :) Anyway, can't judge anything off that first game. Drops and penalties still seem to be a problem and the big plays won't be there against teams that can match...

Leinart Signs with Texans and takes his playbook outside the division

Warner was terrible in the losses to San Fran. They knew how to defend that attack. I'm hoping that a different style will have more success against the 49ers.
