He'll never be anything more than a #2. I honestly believe he won't beat out Orlovsky on the depth chart.

Not sure how many offers he had but Leinart's no dummy. He went to a good QB coach and is in a true QB friendly offense. In terms of stats and getting to throw the ball anyway. Andre Johnson's not too shabby either.

A change of scenery will do him well and he'll probably get significant playing time if Schaub's history is any indicator.

San Francisco already has the Cardinals number so that concern was moot. Didn't they already know the snap count last year from Sendlein? They seem to be doing just fine on their own without any ex-Cardinals help.

we trade off sweeps every year so i dont know how they have our number

I thought our losses to SF were solely on Kurt Warner

He will be lucky if he beats out Orlovsky.

They have our number? On the way to the Super Bowl the Cards win both and in game 2 Warner is 32-42-328 yards and 3 TDs.

They have our number all right. It's implanted right between the tire tracks on the back of their uniforms.

Yes, and LAST year the 49ers swept the Cardinals and in general, the 49ers have played the Cardinals tough the last 3 years regardless of the situation.

Dude, you're in hog-heaven aren't you? It seems that all of those who were so wrong about Warner are now unleashing all of their pent up venom toward Leinart.

Don't worry, Anderson will unite the Cardinals fan base. It won't be happy, but it'll be united.

Yea they won 2 lastyear. Both very close. They hardly "have our number"

Swept 2 out of the last 3 years under Whisenhunt qualifies as far as I'm concerned.

Especially considering the Cardinals had the luxury of playing turnover Sullivan game 1 of '08 and barely beating perennial backup Shaun Hill in the 2nd game of '08.

Following that up by getting swept by the Alex Smith led 49ers in '09 and I think the Cardinals under Whisenhunt have had a real tough time dealing with SF.

Warner was terrible in the losses to San Fran. They knew how to defend that attack. I'm hoping that a different style will have more success against the 49ers.

We swept them in 06 they returned the favor in 07. We swept them in 08 they returned the favor in 09. See a trend here?

BTW the 49ers were not lead by Alex Smith in the 1st game last year.

In the last 4 years we are square 4-4. Nobody owns anybody. Not a single game has been a blow out either.

This is a lame debate. The Cards/49ers have been trading sweeps the past four seasons. When these two teams play, throw favorite/underdog out the window.

The worst was in 2007. Cards blow the opener in S.F. and then lose in OT at home 37-31. That was the 8-8 season that could have been much better.

Glad we lost the bench warming moper. The lack of trade interest told the story.

I wish I could be positive but I'm not, maybe I am completely wrong and we will actually beat the Rams. I expect a tough game of it. Da hit some long balls but then he missed more not so long balls or hit defenders in the hands! I watched him some these last few years. He is a frog and Whiz kissed him and He is still a frog.

Live #1 defenses are going to line up this week and it counts. I pray that I'm wrong.
but the Values of this Cards team seem exactly wrong. I pray that we can stop anybody on defense THE WHOLE GAME! not just spurts, including the Rams. I pray that we can score more than turnover the ball. I pray that THT can carry this team as a starting RB for the first time ever.

Hurting The Bean late in PS game 4? Can't rally around an accurate "safe QB" call him the antichrist. taking Roberts with Griffin on the board? Deuce as antichrist junior?
no contracts for anybody but DD, AW, Fitz since Whiz has been here?

As a Cards fan the Texans got a steal, I feel gut shot. There is something wrong with the coach and the team for not putting Leinart in position to succeeed. ESpn totally declared war on Leinart and trated him way worse than Michael Vick and Big Ben for their CRIMES! never seen anything like that!

Matt Leinart connected for 19 of 23 with 110+ QB rating by the end of the 9-10 2 minute and TD drive of the 130+ qb rating Bears game. get a grip already. You all are the joke. ML is a top 10 QB after he gets a year starting for the next decade. Numbers don't lie just people. And the Cards are brain dead if they can't rally around that for a season. They just went from 10-6 to 6-10 stupidly

Hey! I live in Hog Heaven. Arkansas with the Arkansas Razorbacks. I think we have the #1 QB in the nation in Ryan Mallet. We played a weak team Saturday and he only played 3 quarters but the 6'7" QB with a canon arm completed around 32 passes (82%) for over 300 yd. He can pass on the run and throw it 70 yds with ease. He is a preseason All American and a very likely 1st round pick. He is a junior. We play another patsy this week but then comes Georgia and Alabama so will get a good gauge on him then. He has already broke some Razorback records.

I agree with this post 100%.Getting rid of Matt Leinart had nothing to do with his play.It had everything to do with problems off the field. With Wiz and perhaps another player, i will let you guess who that player might be.They must think the fans are plain stupid, because anyone with half a brain could see that the O-line was not playing when Matt was in as well as they did when DA,or the Rookies came in.Wiz didn't give him even half the reps that DA got. That was the most unfair so called competition i have ever watched. If Wiz and company couldn't coach up a QB that was stated to be the most NFL ready QB in that draft then they failed big time.I wish Matt good luck.I hope either DA or Max can at least keep us out of the celler we were in for so long.
