    There are two sporting events that will always give me goosebumps, no matter how many times I watch: the Miracle on Ice game ('80 Winter Olympic semifinal, USSR vs USA), and Game 7 of the 2001 World Series ("Floater.....centerfield.....the Diamondbacks are World Champions!!).

    Backman Not everyone is impressed with Backman: That was from USSMariner.com (Mariners fan site), so consider the source. I know very little about Backman as a manager, but the fact that we didn't hire a retread makes me appreciate the hiring even more.
