    I think it's fairly obvious why they fessed up. With the lawsuit for that disgruntled employee, all of their communications during that time period would be subject to discovery. Better to admit it first than to caught.

    I mean from his first draft he found: An above average LT who could move into the top tier soon. A really good nickel back. A solid starting receiver. A solid rotational DT Good draft. This past draft looks really good right now too.

    But here is a scenario where the stat becomes more junky....let's say a QB rolls out and is now 2.5 yards away from Verse. That would register as a "pressure" when it's not. An I'm a Verse fan, I think he's going to be a good player for a long time.

    I'm becoming less and less excited about pressures when I learned how pressures are tracked now. The NFL has chips on each player and a "pressure" is registered when a QB is 2.5 yards away from a defender. So it's not too reliable, though it does mean that a defender is often getting close to the QB

    Eh there is a clear reason why the Cardinals kept Demercado over Carter. He is a good all around back, not a starter, but a huge plus as a #3 back.

    Sunk cost. He's just not a fit as a 3-4 backer and we've already seen he's not an ILB either. One of the biggest issues with Keim as a personnel guy, making projections on player fit that was dicey at best.

    Collins is really a 4-3 backer. He's good against the run, good against the pass, but can only get a sack as a free rusher. He's a good player miscast as an edge.

    The absolute best case scenario would be for Jones to be good too. Unlikely that all three end up being good players, but it would sure be awesome to have three good corners on their rookie contracts.
