For all the complaining people do about him, offensively Amare is damn near unstoppable. Just amazing how well he moves down near the basket.

And yet, the most exciting plays are when Boris explodes and actually uses some power and creativity with the ball. That speaks more to how rare that is, I think. :(

It's funny just how effective dump off passes are when Amare is there. If you can't trick him into a charge, he's all but impossible to stop because fouling dooen't do it..

One thought, I can see what the Suns are looking for from Dragic. He creates a lot of steals and finishes at the basket with both hands (very had to block). The open court stuff with Amare is very exciting and they need to be able to do it for 48 minutes.

It's true about Amare. For all the bitching and moaning about his faults, it seems like people don't appreciate what he is truly great at (which is many aspects of basketball).

I think the problem is his potential. People think he should be better, and he may very well should be, but because he isn't as great as some think he should be, he gets criticized.

Thanks for posting!

I feel sad when watching the first part with all those Marion highlights, though.

I think Amare is ready to explode this season. He wants a extension and wants to stay with the Suns, so I hope he uses his full potential.

It's funny. The first thing I notice in the first highlight is the fact that the Suns are up by almost 15 with about 2 minutes left. Yet Nash and Amare are still in the game.

If Shaq can bring the same effort on both ends like he did in the last video, this team can compete with anyone next season.

I think Shaq knows that. He obviously isn't in his prime anymore. However, he was not in shape and just came back from a hip injury when we got him so his contribution was good enough. Honestly, now that he is trying to get in shape and looks slimmer, this team will be very dangerous next season if he puts in effort and we use him correctly.

I was really frustrated and angry after we lost to the Spurs(getting owned almost every year is frustrating) so I obviously blamed Shaq because he looked dumb and fat. But it was pretty good since he was not in shape.

I expect us to utilize him better, he will be in better shape and he will be faster, more athletic, more durable, and stronger. The Suns are going to surprise a lot of people again next year.

It was weird watching those clips because it was two different teams. One with Marion, one with Shaq....yet it was the same season.

The ability of Marion to generate steals was one of the biggest differences when he left. Hill did a a very good job on defense and IMHO shaq was better than he's given credit for. But they did mis those steals.

This is one of the things that Dragic is expected to bring - steals to generate breakaways.

Some people take Amare Stoudemire for granted because they don't know how lucky we are to have a big man like him. I think what frustrates them is his defense and some times hard headed mistakes. I still have faith in Amare's defense and he will continue to improve offensively and maybe(MAYBE) defensively year by year. He just needs to stay out of foul trouble and rebound more. 2008-2009 is important for him because he wants a extension, so he is going to have to play his heart out for a big deal. I expect him to have average 28 points or more. Hopefully after all the criticism, he will use that as motivation over the summer and improve his rebounding, defense, awareness, patience, and back to the basket game. Hopeful thinking though.
