Yeah gonna tune in closely for this one. Of course the LakeShow will win it(prob in 6) but its gonna be fun to watch Artest/Battier get up into Kobe's jock strap and grill. Ultimately, the whiny powder puff poster boy will get the calls to get these guys off his back but it'll be fun for the first few games:D

Yao Ming should be the focus for Rockets.... give him 20 shots a game and the Lakers will have a contest.
Gasol, Bynum cannot guard Yao, and a double team with 2 of their big men neutralizes Laker's inside defense. Yao should take the "Duncan" role and always draw the defenders to give the shooters looks, then become aggressive he is an 80% FT shooter.... Gasol is soft defensively but can play it positional, Bynum will foul out if you play him accordingly.

Battier IF he solely focuses can somehow contain Bryant to 25ppg... the trick would be to give Bryant the ball, let him force shots... Battier should let the ball get to Bryant give him enough space to make him go for jumpshots then just contest it as well as you can... get Bryant to shoot at 40% and then let Yao Ming get 20+ shots (good shots) and the Rockets has a chance.

Ron Artest has officially lost his mind.
During an interview with TNT’s Craig Sager on Wednesday, Artest claimed Portland Trailblazers guard Brandon Roy was the best player he has played against in the NBA.
Better than Kobe.
Better than LeBron.
And for good measure, he takes a cheap shot at Charles Barkley at the end of the clip.
Let’s see how Artest feels about Kobe after the next round of the playoffs, assuming Houston makes it out of the first round.

Kobe say's: "It's fun," he said. "He's obviously a great defensive player, so I look forward to it."

My God, Yao is soooooooft. News flash i know.
I hear Houston fans constantly say that they should run more of the offense thru him and that seems like a good idea...until Yao plays like a 7' tall pussycat out there.

Ewww...a ton of a blood by Battier's eye after being hit by Vujacic's elbow.

LOL, the refs truly are blind...Battier is pouring blood, looking like some videogame character and the refs somehow can't see him for about 30 seconds when he's yelling at them to stop action.

Sasha is super pesky tonight...I love it. Everyone else will hate it.

Yao has to outplay Gasol, and the combination of Battier/Artest has to play as well as Kobe for the Rockets to have a real shot in this series.

I think the Rockets are best off playing Kobe straight up with Battier and letting artest lead the perimeter scoring. Without Tmac they'll need Ron to generate some offense and get Yao the ball down low, so he should play some spot time on Kobe and that's about it. I'm interested to see how Bynum does on Yao, and how Yao does on Bynum. Athleticism with size vs. No Athleticism with more size is always interesting.

By the way, let's not kid ourselves into thinking that Ron really thinks Roy is the best player in the game. He's trying to play some mind games, and draw some attention to himself like always.

typical Lakers.. I tune in and first thing I see is Kobe running over Yao with no call, injuring Yao and giving Gasol a dunk.

Well, Lakers gonna have to get their act together. Looked bad tonight. Someone needs to kick them in the ass.

Fisher has been useless. Actually, he's been good for the other team. Brooks has had basketball sex with him all night long. Just dominated.

Threes better fall for the Lakes the rest of this series.

Lakers will roll off 4 straight.

Anybody on this board still bashing Yao?

They couldn't win because of TMac in past years, since the team relied too much on TMac's dominant scoring in regular season, which would NOT be that easy in the playoffs, with better defensive attention. Do we not have a similar pattern on the Suns, though in a less severe version? ;)

That'd happen only if there were futher injuries of significance on Rockets' part. Otherwise, it's gonna go to game 7 for a decision, likely with Lakers coming out winner.

Hey Cobby, get off my nuts son...Lakeshow in 7 was my call, i'm sticking with it(they're the better team).
I am however waiting for Kobe to leak a hangnail to the media so ESPN can hype it up for him and make us all go "Ohhhh poor Kobe, look at him gut it out...what a warrior!"
Probably happen when the series is tied at 2-2;)
