The 2025 NFL Draft is loaded with talent throughout all three days. From the first round to the seventh round, the Los Angeles Rams can load up on positions of need and fill holes across the roster.
While quarterback isn't an immediate concern for the Rams with veterans Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo, finding the team's next franchise player is on their radar. General manager Les Snead said as much earlier this offseason when asked about adding a young quarterback to the team.
But, as Snead also said, that's easier said than done. The Rams could snag someone in the first round at No. 26, but could also wait and take a quarterback on either second or third day of the draft.
Here is one quarterback the Rams could target on each day of the draft.
A lot has been written about the Rams being a possible landing spot for Dart. And for all the talk of him going after the first round, the Rams would likely need to take him at No. 26 if they think he’s their quarterback to run the post-Matthew Stafford offense. That's a lot to give up for a player who will ride the bench for at least one season, but it's worth considering if the Rams want to think long-term
Ewers produced in college on a team with a lot of NFL-caliber players. That counts for something at the next level. While his injury history is a concern, Ewers is another prospect who would be better suited sitting behind an entrenched starter for at least one season before being called upon to take over. Ewers is a big name, so he might go earlier than his skillset would typically dictate — likely in the second or third rounds.
McCord led the nation in passing yards in 2024 and would be a great student under Stafford. McCord has experience playing at the highest levels of college football in the ACC and Big Ten, and a fourth-round pick isn’t a lot of draft capital to use on a potential backup quarterback who could become a starter down the line.

Day 2: Quinn Ewers, Texas

Day 3: Kyle McCord, Syracuse
