I have to say UA does not deserve to be in the tourney...
but the games they played without Bayless and Wise. They saw with those two playing together, the Cats were 15-6.
If anybody considered this they should be fired. The Devils beat them TWICE!!!
The Cats had to play the LOSER game to get into the real PAC tourney.
Sorry I didn't notice this was in the UA forum until just now. I don't troll over here on purpose.
No worries, hell, I think ASU deserved a bid, just not at the expense of UoA.

In other words, change the way things have been done for 25 years.Apparently the selection committee should use your logic and...
1. Look at conference standings
2. Look at head to head match ups
3. Not look at injuries
4. Drop the RPI
5. Eliminate SOS
If the selection committee does that then ASU might be in as a 9 seed.
Yeah, maybe the Cats should play a cupcake schedule where 10 of their wins will be against teams with an rpi of 200 or more. Every year the committe has been stressing about playing a competitive schedule. Lute has always followed that advice. He is never afraid to play anyone.
Like Andy Katz said, the committee weighed heavily on not only the Cats tough schedule, but the games they played without Bayless and Wise. They saw with those two playing together, the Cats were 15-6.
ASU can schedule huge opponents and get pounded by them like u of a did. Horrible arguement.
What huge opponents did we get pounded by? Our worst loss was to UCLA and you guys got thrashed by them twice....
We played Memphis, Virginia, Kansas, etc all very tough and Memphis we didnt even have our best player.
Get over it and go watch some thrilling NIT action at a 2/3 empty Wells Fargo. That back and forth was nice for a couple days but now we have actual opponents in the tournament to worry about.
I wont watch either way, not a college ball fan. Just like getting under wildcat skin.
I'm a football fan through and through, and ASU takes that hands down.
But all in all, its about the cardinals baby!

You obviously don't follow college hoops. You can win NIT games for the next decade and they still won't amount to a single NCAA Tournament loss. Bragging about the NIT, nice job showing the world how small-time ASU Hoops truly is.I cant say I mind watching ASU dominate NIT people vs being a UA fan and getting smacked out of the first round in a 64 team tournament.

Virginia? Virginia was tough? Virginia was 10th in the ACC, 15-15 overall. Virginia was terrible. And Arizona lost to them at home! That's an embarrassing loss.
Seriously, the schedule strength component is flawed if Arizona ended up second. Other than Kansas and Memphis, both of whom the Wildcats lost to, who was on there that was all that difficult? Texas A&M? Nope, the Aggies are pretty weak away from College Station. UNLV was the best non-conference win Arizona had. ASU drilled Xavier, a No. 3 seed. Plus in Pac-10 play, ASU had the better record and swept Arizona.
Arizona did better than I expected against West Virginia, but the Wildcats still had no business being in the tournament. I really do not care about either school, my team is Missouri, who is just as bad as Virginia, but from the perspective of a neutral fan, Arizona had no right to go over Arizona State.
Get over it! I don't know who is whinier, Suns fans or ASU fans, oh wait they are the same people.
