I really do like our secondary right now. It is a nice mix of youth, experience and athleticism. Peterson is great. Bethea is consistent. Baker is unproven, but I have liked what he has shown. Jamar Taylor has experience across from a good CB. Boston is nice depth. Same with Benwikere. Rudy Ford offers top end athleticism. Campbell has size size and experience to build off of.

We have had some good secondaries, but this may end up being the group with the best blend of talent and depth.

Question for you Chopper. Benwikere is primarily a slot cb. Where does Buddha play when Bene covers the slot? Does he drop back to a safety position or play up in the box? I know both are good slot cbs so just wondering what your thoughts are on how they play them.

He’s 6’ y’all and 195 lbs. where do you get the idea he’s primarily a slot corner?

Agreed. Best we have been in a long time. We have some playmakers back there.

I think you will see them rotated as matchup dependent slot coverage options. My guess, and preference, would be a high snap volume for Baker therefore rotating in Tre Boston and Ben Ben depending on the matchup. Example...if you are playing the Saints, Cam Merideth in the slot is a big matchup issue for Baker, and I would rather matchup Ben Ben vs Cam in the slot.

Personally, I don't love Budda Baker at SS due to his size. That is why I thought he would be more of a traditional single high S in the NFL. Because this is not the case, my guess is we will see him moved around in order to prevent teams from targeting him.
