As the countdown to heading down Magnolia Lane continues, Golfweek is taking a look back at some Masters history through the years.

Today, it's time to examine the 2013 Masters and the significant milestones that occurred at Augusta National Golf Club that year.

Who won the 2013 Masters?​


Adam Scott becomes the first Masters champion from Australia, defeating Angel Cabrera on the second playoff hole for his first major title. Scott didn't lead after any of the first three rounds. It was the sixth time in Masters history there were different leaders after all four rounds. Scott birdied No. 10 on the second playoff hole to defeat the 2009 Masters champion.

Ted Potter Jr. won his only Par 3 Contest, shooting 4-under 23.

  • Tianlang Guan, winner of the 2012 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, becomes the youngest player ever to compete in and make the cut at the Masters and win Low Amateur
  • Drive, Chip and Putt, a youth skills competition conducted in coordination with the Masters Tournament, USGA and PGA of America, is announced.
