The Eagles and 31 other NFL teams have started reshaping their rosters following the start of the NFL's new league year. March 12 signaled the start of free agency and the official start of the 2025 NFL season, with teams preparing for the NFL draft and beginning off-season workouts.
The business part of free agency kicked off in Philadelphia with the release of cornerbacks Darius Slay and James Bradberry. The move saved the Eagles about $6 million while it cleared the way for a new trio that will undoubtedly include Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.
Then the Eagles traded C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Texans for Kenyon Green and traded Kenny Pickett to the Browns for Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
