To say Jackie Robinson's legacy is bigger than the game of baseball has met a present-day realization—while the MLB joins the rest of the sports world in the hesitant and unknown next steps in society, No. 42's legacy marches on unfazed.
It's fitting, really, for an athlete whose historical journey fought segregation and unimaginable tests of the psychical and mental, and outlasted all of it on his way to becoming an American legend.
