Oh my! Jim Hart, Mel Gray, Terry Metcalf, Jim Otis, Jackie Smith, etc., etc. Jimmy Hart could sling the pigskin!

Why is Don Coryell not in the HOF?

Because he never went to the Super Bowl let alone win one. IMO Tom Flores goes in before Coryell.

Thanks NJ, it's amazing how well the Cards ran the ball in the air Coryell Offense. Jim Otis was a ton of fun to watch and of course Metcalf was a highlight reel.

Those were the days! Loved the old uni's/helmet. The up-dated version..not so much. But, at least we stayed the "Cardinals" and didn't become the "scorpions", etc.

Tom Flores definitely should be before Coryell. But, I still think Coryell's body of work and his offensive innovation are worthy of consideration and inclusion. I don't think lack of Super Bowl participation negates a HOF career.

The lack of playoff success certainly plays into it. 14 years as a head coach and only 3 playoff wins isn't going to get him into the hall.
