Too bad Neil O'Donoghue sucked ass...I still believe if he made the last second FG in RFK that year the Cards might have made the Super Bowl...nobody had an answer for Lomax to Green that year!!!

I agree. I was watching the game in a barracks overseas and it was the only game I was able to see live that year.

Of course due to the international date line where I was at it was 2am a day later but it was worth it.

nope that was a preseason game in Chicago in I believe '87.
That's not the one I'm thinking of, I don't think. I'm certain it was early 80's--no later than '84-- based on my memories of watching the game in my parents bedroom the house we were living in at the time. It was a Monday night game.

There was a game in the 1986 preseason played on Saturday night, the Cardinals-Bears, the season following the Bears 1985 Super Bowl win, which the Cardinals won. The game featured William Refrigerator Perry body slamming Neil Lomax followed later by a bench clearing fight.

Huh. maybe that WAS it. It was definitely a primetime game; I just thought I was out of that house already.
