No, but it's not all on Tocchet.
When a team flat-out quits like this, it's ALWAYS all on the coach.

AVS in 5.
It is unbelievable how little time we spent in the offensive side of the ice. Without kuemper it would have been even uglier. Good season something to build on.

And now with No. 302, Kuemper has surpassed Columbus' Joonas Korpisalo for the most saves in the playoffs. #Yotes
As I was saying.
I remember thinking at the time that you were being optimistic!![]()
People were forgetting that the AVS were healthy.
2/3 of their first line had missed 44 games in the season and both Kadri and Makar had missed time. Yet, they were just 2 pts behind St-Louis with a game in hand when the season was suspended.
That team is stacked. We should have done a better job on the forecheck, but they continued to make crisp passes under pressure and we couldn't ever sustain any real time in the o-zone.
Kuemp played out of his mind and deserved a better fate.
We tried to hang with them, but there was no way this was going to be our year.
That's fine and well, but that is still no excuse to just lay down and flat-out quit the last two games. Colorado might be the better team, but they are not THAT better.
You want to lay this all on Tocc's shoulders, that's fine. I'm not going to change your mind. Nobody is excited about this outcome, other than Avs fans.
