I thought he was referring to Nash's soccer background.
He was. The fact that those two left the bench could indicate a lack of discipline and forsight on behalf of DA. Why didn´t the staff get up and plant their asses back on that bench. They sit closer to the scorers table anyway. The toughness part referred to this season anyway.
With regard to the topic, they need to follow through with their jumpers and then cut to the basket for a rebound or convert to Trans D, but stop staring at the ball hoping or assuming it will go in, perhaps jamming the outlet to give their teammates a few more seconds to adjust. Someone please explain to me why they sometimes all five run back after a 3point shot! That can lead to a long rebound .

How would Barkley be referring to Nash's soccer background? Because he can kick a ball that mens he's the equivalent of a kicker?

None of us for sure know what Barkley meant, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that he was talking about Nash's stature.

No, you were right -- it was a football analogy. Wasn't watching when he said it, but I saw Barkley's full quote somewhere later.

I think so too. Still have a mental picture of Nash facing off with Mikki Moore and not about to back down.
