This may be slightly out of date but you get the picture. And Simmons is not a FA until 2008.

Tackles -

Jeff Backus - Lions
Kenyatta Walker - Buccaneers
Tom Ashworth - Patriots
Mike Pearson - Jaguars
Stockar McDougle - Dolphins
Jon Runyan - Eagles

Gaurds -

Steve Hutchinson - Seahawks
Toniu Fonoti - Chargers
Chester Pitts - Texans
Benji Olson - Titans
Vince Manuwai - Jaguars
Rex Tucker - Rams

Centers -

Mike Flanagan - Packers
LeCharles Bentley - Saints
Tom Nalen - Broncos

My wish list would be Backus, Hutchinson, and Fonoti, Bentley would be good but we have Stepanovich, unless we want Step as a back up.

No "hard look" if we're at #1. If the Cardinals are on the clock at #1 they better already have a contract with Leinart signed and sealed and his house in Paradise Valley picked out when Tagilbue hits the podium. This team will lose a lot of fans, myself included if they pass on Leinart. Unfortunately, since we play the Eagles and the Colts (both of whom will have already clinched) the last two weeks of the season I'm guessing some yet to be determined Cardinal QB will lead us to two meaningless victories against their backups to knock us down the the fifth pick.

I just wrote this in another post.....its just sad because it so true:(

If we take Omar Jacobs or Vince Young i will renounce my Cardinals fanship. Those are two frauds that will not make it in the NFL.The best young QB is Chad Henne at Michigan. He struggled against ND but he is the best prospect.Too bad he's not elgible until 2007. Leinart is the #1 QB next year and there's no doubt about that.He would've been #1 this year if he came out and he's certainly not hurting himself with this year's performance. Charlie Weis has also made Brady Quinn look like a first rounder.Plus, he's playing in a pro style offense.

Also, how can we not mention DeAngelo Williams? I want him in round 2.

Williams is a top 10 pick right now so I doubt he slides to round 2. henne has the same issue that Leak has, he has to measure out, he's listed at 6'2" and looks shorter, but he sure does throw a nice ball.

FWIW I caught something on Mike and Mike this morning where Golic and Chris Fowler were asked to name a QB other than Leinart that could help a pro team's fans who were looking to next year and they both couldn't do it, they said the gap from Leinart is huge. Quinn was mentioned as a decent prospect, Golic mentioned Vince Young but said he has passing issues, neither guy said Omar Jacobs. I really think he's rated lower with pro scouts right now than most of us think but I base that on my own disdain for his throwing motion which is probably pretty silly.

"..And in this corner.."

What do any of you think of the ASU qb Sam Bam Keller?? Some of you are going to be sucking alot of hind tit when Keller ourplays Leinart on Saturday, it's just a shame that Asu will still get edged in the game ala LSU, by under a TD.. Keller is an animal, and while not as polished as Leinart, you know whjat mama used to say when we all polished our knobs too much.. Maybe Leinart will wilt in the trojanbrand red uniforms and 105 weather at high noon.. Wishful thinking, but ASU and Cards fans gotta stick together!! :biglaugh:

It's hard to find good pro prospects these days in college. Of course, unless you play for USC.I don't see any in the big 10 other than Henne. The SEC basically has Leak. The ACC has marginal guys like Whitehurst. The Big 12 has no one that comes to mind. You're right about Brohm but i think he has size issues as well, not sure. If you want nay prospects the PAC 10 is the place to go.Leinart and Drew Olson have been playing pretty good.So has the kid from WSU.He has good numbers but i haven't seen him play.I basing it on that they usually have good pro prospects come out of there.

Fowler mentioned him today, said not a great athlete but has a lot of intangibles that scouts like.

Drew Olson is not that good he's only playing because they don't want to rush Ben Olson in and Drew is a senior, very marginal guy although improved alot from his early days at UCLA.

Ben Olson might be the best pro prospect QB in the Pac 10 behind Leinart, although USC has John David Booty who's very touted too. Olson is legit but he went on a mormon mission and then transferred so he hasn't played yet in college, great talent. There was a rumor he was going to go pro after this year(over 21) but that's gotta be a joke rumor the kid hasn't taken a snap in college.

I like Keller as much as the next guy, but any suggestion of taking Keller over Leinart right now is pure homerism and myopia. Keller has played in what...five college games in his entire career? Leinart has won two national championships and a Heisman Trophy while finishing Top 5 in Heisman balloting another year. People keep talking about Keller's intangibles (and I agree with them) but you could make a case that Leinart is comparable in that category seing in that his team hasn't lost in about two years and he's handled being the second most popular athlete in this country's second biggest market like a true professional.

Somebody on the local (Denver) ESPN radio staion was saying that he thought Leinhart was a top-10 NFL QB ...right now. He did say that this was mostly because of the sorry state of NFL QBs at the moment. But boy, is he that good already?

Make a list of the top QBs in the league and see how long it is. There's a huge dropoff at about #5.

I think Leinhart's team could give the Cards all they could handle today. In the old days when the College all stars played the pros they did in fact win some games. Leinhart,Bush and company made Arkansas their bitc- scoring 70 points. This looks like one of the better college teams I have seen in years.

True enough but JJ Arrington averaged 7 YPC last year in the same conference as USC and is averaging about 1 YPC in the NFL.

Mike Williams was the THE dominant player at USC and he's currently the #4WR on the Lions(although it's because he missed a full year of play).

USC has a lot of guys who will be pros, Leinart, Bush, Lendale White, Jarrett, Darnell Bing, the list goes on, but if they played a real pro team I think we'd see quickly the jump to the NFL is extreme.

I dont know if I would ever say that about a college QB, but I think he is very good. I saw a feature on him about how he is breaking down both college and pro film in the style of Peyton Manning. If he continues these kind of work habits, I dont doubt he will have great NFL success in the future.

Franks signed through 2011

Ngata in round 2 as of right now, highly unlikely.

Any pro team would absolutely destroy any college team.Let's not get acrried away.Maybe 5 guys, and that's alot, from that team will have an impact on the NFL.Some more may make rosters but they won't be significant. Also,Franks has a knee injury.

There is no way Sam Keller will have a better pro or college career than Matt Lienert Mao, but i will say this:

Sam keller will statistically have a better game than Matt Lienert this week. Its a combination of the kids moxie, Koetters offense and USC's one weakness that leads me to believe this and I would go as far to put money on this in Vegas. Saying that I'm not sure if Keller's best performance ever, still leads ASU to victory (although the parallells between Nebraska in 96 and USC now are pretty scary)
